FTD which is a low end wire service not only rips off its customers it rips off the florists. I own a high end flower shop and decided why not try a wire service. I chose FTD because it used to be owned by Florists but have been sold to people that have no background in flowers but love to take money. If a customer was to send lets say a 45.00 arrangement to another florist the receiving florist would get only 72% of that price and that includes delivery. It normally costs a florist roughly $6-$8 dollars to have a driver bring those flowers if it is within 5 miles...$12 or more past 5 miles...leaving us with at the most $26.40 to make your flower arrangement...oh but wait...FTD makes the florist buy their horrible vases....

Take another $10 off your flower budget leaving only $16.40 to make your $45.00 arrangement... The florist also gets hit with a $149 dollar monthly fee...$99 dollar fee for being in the directory...$99 for online website...$59.00 for updating information...etc. etc.  I have tried to cancel my membership with them for almost 5 months and they refuse to respond to me..I cancel every order that comes to my shop and do you know I had a $720 dollar bill in fees alone...fees that every single FTD florist pays every month and Im not even sending or receiving orders. There is no way that this is legal to do to any florist. I want to band all FTD florists together to get all of our money back. The only money they should receive is the 12% that they get from every flower arrangement sent. PLEASE HELP IN MY CAUSE!!!!!

EVERY THING MENTIONED IN THE ABOVE ADD IS SOOO TRUE.  THE WIRE SERVICES ARE THE  REASON MOST SMALL INDEPENDENT FLOWER SHOPS  GO OUT OF BUSINESS.  THE FLORIST IS RIPPED OFF SO BADLY WHEN THE WIRE SERVICES SEND AN ORDER TO US.  WITH ALL THE CHARGES THEY HAVE APPLIED, THERE ISN'T EVEN ANYTHING LEFT TO MAKE THE ORDER OR TO PAY THE DESIGNER TO MAKE IT, LET ALONE PAY THE DRIVER TO DELIVER IT. 
 
WE, AS FLORIST, ARE WORKING  AS THIRD WORLD WAGE EARNERS AFTER THE WIRE SERVICES GET  DONE WITH US.  THE GOVERNMENT LETS THIS HAPPEN TO ALL THE FLORIST ACROSS THE U.S.  HOW SHAMEFUL!  "ONLY IN  THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES?  OPEN YOUR EYES!  NO, IT IS HAPPENING IN THE UNITED STATES TO EVERY SMALL FLORIST ACROSS THE UNITED STATES.  

 FTD AND TELEFLORA,  CHARGE THE SMALL FLORAL SHOPS, DELAYED RESPONSE ORDERS. WHICH MEANS, IF THE SMALL FLORIST DOES NOT REJECT THE ORDER AFTER TWO HOURS, THEN THEY CHARGE THEM THE WHOLE PRICE OF THE ORDER, MIND YOU, THE FLORIST IS WAITING TO GET THE FLOWERS FROM THEIR WHOLESALER, THAT MAY ARRIVE THREE HOURS LATER, AND WHEN THEY ARRIVE, THE WHOLESALES DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT FLOWERS, FORCING US TO FORWARD THE ORDER TO ANOTHER SHOP.  THEN THE WIRE SERVICE CHARGES THE SMALL FLORIST THE WHOLE PRICE OF THE ORDER. THIS CAN ADD UP TO THOUSANDS IN A THREE MONTH PERIOD FOR THE FLORIST. 

SOMETIMES WE GET CHARGED TWICE, BECAUSE AFTER WE FORWARD THE ORDER, THEY SEND IT RIGHT BACK TO US. IF THE ORDER WAS 100.00, THEN WE ARE CHARGED A DELAYED RESPONSE CHARGE FOR 200.00.  THEY MAY DO THIS SEVERAL TIMES A DAY ON THE SAME ORDER  THAT CAN RUN UP TO 1000.00 A DAY ON ONE ORDER THEY ARE PASSING AROUND TO THE SMALL FLORIST TO FILL..  ALL THIS MONEY IS STOLEN FROM THE SMALL FLORISTS AROUND TOWN.  I HAVE SEEN THEM STEAL AS MUCH AS THREE MONTHS RENT FROM A FLORIST AND FORCED HIM OUT OF BUSINESS!  

MOST FLOWER SHOP OWNERS CAN'T EVEN AFFORD HEALTH CARE AFTER THEY GET DONE WITH US, NOR DO THEY OFFER HEALTH INSURANCE TO US!  THIEVES.... BUT THEIR CORPORATE! 

ANOTHER WAY THEY STEAL IS BY GIVING THE FLORIST A SECOND SIMILAR CHOICE SO WE MAKE A SIMILAR ARRANGE, AND THEN THEY CANCEL THE ORDER, AND PAY US NOTHING, BECAUSE THE ORDER WASN'T LIKE THE FIRST CHOICE, EVEN THOUGH THE SECOND CHOICE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ACCEPTIBLE!   CRAZY BUT FACTUAL!  HAPPENS ALL THE TIME!

Hello  My Name is Lina  Jane and Steeles florist flower shop, Toronto.  I am in absolutely the same situation with Ftd  I stoped taking there orders from today. I talked to Frank Stornelli who is a FTD cheaf in Canada. I have been trying to terminate with them for months. They are THIVES!!! and dont know what to expect  We need to do something!
