Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
February 7, 2004 placed $7,638.00 order for "BOB MACKIE" furniture and sent wire transfer of $2,000 for initial deposit thru sales person Cindy Macheras. Promised 12 week delivery. Started receiving e-mails every 2 weeks in May that furniture backlogged.

Called and told Cindy Macheras did not work there and new sales person was Rachael Adams. I've seen enough sales women's names to assume they are all the same person. Some of the other reports discuss a Linda and I saw at least one more. We got nervous in mid-July after the e-mail did not come.

We started calling constantly after the 3rd week of July. It is hard to believe that some people were ripped off after that date because no one would answer. We did get one lady and she said everyone was on vacation but then she disappeared with every one else.

We would be very interested in anyone considering legal action and also pursuing the guilty in person (will take the $2,000 back in cash or trade ). Please get in contact if serious on either.

I have been looking on various sites to compose a very detailed report for my small claims case. I am suing for my $1962 payment in full, interest, and court fees. I find it amazing that the owner, Dean Warren, bought a house in 1994 for $248,674 and sold it May 2004 for $335,000 WHEN ALL OF HIS COMPANY WAS IN SHAMBLES and bought a new house for $380,000!!!!!! AND, he had over 6 different cars in a two year period (also on the same link below) An owner that to me does not seem too interested in the welfare of his company, customers or his employees, but all in himself. I am a customer who does beleive that all employees were not rotton, but trying to hang on a thread of hope that they too were going to get their paycheck. The company seemed to be on a downward spiral since December, manufacturers black balling his company, and he finds time to spend OUR money on an elaborate house. Does this scream FRAUD to anyone out there? http://maps.co.forsyth.nc.us/scripts/esrimap.dll?Name=Search_2002&Cmd=ShowHistory&ParcelKey=4207K097 http://maps.co.forsyth.nc.us/scripts/esrimap.dll?Name=Search_2002&Cmd=ShowHistory&ParcelKey=4207U008 For all violated customers and the honest employees who are working so hard for our sorry butts, call teh Federal Trade Commission, Better Business Bureau, Forsyth County Sherriff's Department, and Small Claims Court. For all ex-employees, it saddens me to think that we were considered sorry butts. What a disrespectful comment to make in leiu of the situation. Your appology may have been sincere in the begginning, however, with the overall tone seems just another slapp in the face and kick in the stomach. Robert, thanks for your comments, maybe when we get our day in court I'll see you there!

mindboggling that they were still taking orders right up to August

I am talking with another ripped off individual by Furniture USA from Indiana. She is gathering some good evidence to support the blatant acts that Furniture USA was doing. Somewhere in the December 2003 time frame they quit placing orders and I assume storing the cash somewhere. It is mindboggling that they were still taking orders right up to August. They owe Furniture Doctor and moving compainies. They placed no orders with American Drew and Lane the entire year of 2004 but kept right on taking orders. Everyone effected needs to 1st) file a crinimal report with the Clemmons, NC sheriffs office (336)727-2112. They have also filed bankruptcy. So everyone needs to make sure they file a claim with the Winston-Salem bankruptcy court. For God's sake anyone that did get their money back from a credit card company please file a criminal report with the sheriffs department. We can not let these people get by with just filing bankruptcy. They blatantly took all our money and never placed orders for any furniture for up to 8 months. This is an open and shut case of fraud. Hopefully someone in the North Carolina area will accept a lead role and help everyone get a class action civil suit off the ground. These people need to suffer as all of us have. Everyone also needs to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office. These people do not ever deserve to have another company again. The only thing they deserve is an 8' x 8' cell with bars in the windows.
