A history of the illegal and abusive nature of Nova English schools in Japan can be seen on Wikipedia. I worked full time, for 5 years. But I found out after five years of work that they were not paying my health insurance, which is illegal in Japan. During the time that I was working at Nova. I was verbally abused, and they also threatened to "kick me out" of my apartment, when I wanted to quit working for them. They did not properly re-imburse me for travel expenses, when I had to travel to their schools at different locations.
