IAN - Josh - Eli. dispatcher... Galore Moving and Storage a real creative bunch demanded additional money (350.00) after shipment of goods also lost box of valuable paintings & artwork Van Nuys California
Upon receipt of my daughter's, (Lea Meyers), shipment of boxes to our house here in Cordova on April 28th, 2004 we discovered a serious discrepancy in the weight of the boxes that their dispatcher, (Eli), recorded on the documents and what we weighed here in Cordova, TN, and we discovered a large flat box of valuable paintings/art that was not shipped...(value: 500.00).
My daughter was asked to pay (350.00), to the driver over and above the $750.00 initially collected by their driver in Sunnyvale, CA.
The driver mentioned that he estimated the weight to be around 1,000 lbs. Upon shipment, my daughter was shocked by the discrepancy in weight and will now have to forego other expenditures that she had planned on for her move here to attend school.
One reason for checking the weight upon arrival, (none of the boxes were opened), was that I and several of my colleagues were alarmed that the shipment didn't appear to come close to the weight recorded by their dispatcher.
Galore's dispatcher, (Eli), recorded a weight of 1630 lbs... we recorded a weight of 1063 lbs.
When we complained to Galore via phone they said they would refund a check to my daughter, but we have not heard from the company in any way.
