Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Alright, so, James, the manager said he was working with us. He said that the people on Ripoffreport.com were all losers and dumb. They just complain because they don't understand a layaway agreement and don't like to pay what the owe. Well, as stated in the itemized statement below, I have paid well enough to receive my computer. I did receive my printer after waiting and waiting. I got a printer which Dell prices at $65, for $259!!!!!

Now, another "complainer" stated that he did finally receive his computer and it was worth about $700.00. Screw this!!!! These guys are going down! My husband and I have contacted the FBI and we are in the process of contacting the BBB in VA and filing consumer complaints. The FBI said that they are FRAUDS! What they are doing is stealing our money and although James and other workers sated that Dell was building our computer and there were glass shortages and delays due to the hurricane, Dell had no orders for a computer for me! None! Just for the stupid $65 printer/scanner/copier.

Also, the money we pay this fraudulent business goes straight to a corporate account because I found out from a source that the printer we got was ordered from their private CC! If you read this James, F-You! You are going down buddy! I am not giving this one up. We paid all the time and were waiting on our computer and then suddenly my account was in the auditing department! What ever! Not until after that did we stop the payments because you guys did not get back to us after the 72 hours and we are not paying anymore! YOU ARE!

Copy of email correspondence:

I apologize. Our Auditing Department had to pull it from the archives. It will be sent to you shortly.

Your original purchase was:

Computer: $1419

Shipping: $150

Total: $1569

Added Printer through our Extended Credit Program: $259

Bank fees for unreleased/stopped payments: $7

Research Fee for copy of contract: $25

Paid to date: $1058.68

Balance due: $869.32

We have not received the fax yet. It could be in Auditing however. I will email you again once the contract is available.

Regards,

James Gibson

Mirandas, even if these clowns were to send you a computer, it may not be the actual hardware you thought you were buying. I surveyed their website on 12/27/08 and I found serious discrepancies in hardware configurations between the OFFERED webpage and the hardware configurations on the actual page used to make the online purchase. IMO, the website is deceptive and very likely violates the FTC law. I archived the files for those of you that might find them useful. If you search yahoo groups for "fightingdebtcollectors" you will find a group that has a files folder "FOR CHERYL". This folder contains PDF archives made directly from their website using Adobe Acrobat Professional. If you compare the "prepurchase" desktop configuration with the configuration on the "buy now" page, you will see that the desktop configuration being purchased is SIGNIFICANTLY less than what is on the "prepurchase" page. RAM is drastically reduced, OS is XP instead of VISTA, monitor is smaller, etc. Hope this helps.

My husband just called me (I am at work) and let me know that James from GCF called saying that he is going to sue us!!!??? That we didn't hold up our end of the contract. Yes, James, we did until you failed to send our computer after quoting a date of delivery at least 3 times! We called all of the Dell companies that you supposedly had building our computer for us and they had NO record of a computer for us. Only a printer. Come on James! How the hell are you going to expect us to keep paying you after already dropping $1,058.68 on a (what Dell sells them for) $65.00 printer!!! Such a d**n scam. I can not wait to expose you. They are coming James. Don't worry. Just don't be one of those big baby's that say "No Comment.". LOL!!!!
