I worked as an onsite tech for this company for 6 months as a 1099 contractor. They have an office in Miami but the online technical support is handled by techs in South America with extremely poor English communication abilities. These techs are NOT certified and have very limited skills. A great majority of the onsite appointments I was supplied were due directly to damage caused by the shoddy online techniques for virus removal. They use the name Geeks On Site to confuse customers into thinking they are actually the Geek Squad. I was aware of this confusion on every one of the calls I accepted from Geeks on Site after the initial customer consultations. They pay the techs they contract with in the US $25-$35 per hour & provide very limited fuel reimbursement to those techs. Most calls are typically under 1 hr onsite for which they charge the customer 99/hr or $297.00 for a 4 hour block which is the product they push aggressively. They average a minimum profit of $74,00 to a maximum of $272.00 on every appt. they contract. I had to battle for correct paychecks every month. TECHS AND CUSTOMERS BEWARE: STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS !
