I wish I had known about this website before.
I bought an expensive Sapphire from GemSelect in September. I intended to have a ring made and give it to my fiance.
I purchased the Sapphire and when it was delivered it looked very bright and lovely. However, I dont know anything about gemstones and just had to take a gamble and trust the retailer.
However this was a big mistake. When I took the sapphire to my local jeweler he said '' how much did you pay for this '' ? I told him. He said ' I have some bad news for you ...you've been ripped off...its 100% SYNTHETIC ..!!..''.
I didnt know what he meant but he said you can actually make fake sapphires in a lab and most on-line retailers do this as its easy to fool customers. I was so angry !
I contacted GemSelect but so far I haven't had one single response. When I called them a foreign guy said something I didn't understand and then hung up.
I am presently in the middle of a legal battle with them to get my money back.
Don't waste your money buying fake stones 'On-Line'.
There are too many criminal websites. Use a normal shop where you can see, feel and test the gemstones.

Hi William,
Terrible story.
I was just wondering what the outcome was ? Did you get any money back ? My father in law was ripped off by this company so I have a vested interest in how others have faired.
Maybe we should get together and complain on mass ?
