I spent most of Saturday trying to resolve the problem I have with my vehicle. I went to the dealer (Bobby Hendren, Lancaster Ohio) because my wheel bearing is failing and the vehicle IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ON THE FREEWAY. They drove it and agreed that the wheel bearing is bad and the vehicle is unsafe. But, they said since it is out of warranty that I will have to pay for half of the repair and get a rental car to drive in the mean time! THIS IS SO WRONG, I have complained about this vehicle since it had 8000 miles on it. There has always been something wrong in the wheel/front end assembly. I took it to them 4 times while it was under warranty and they could not find the problem. I called GM as they said I should do....GM promised to call me back before noon on Monday and I finally heard from them last night around 8pm. They said that all they can do is talk to the dealer who will have to determine is they want to do more than 1/2 of the repair. The dealer told me that it was up to GM to determine if they should pay for the entire repair. Again, no one seems to care that this vehicle is unsafe. I filed a complaint against GM in august thru the BBB and they did not even contact the dealer according to GM. I was told that the vehicle would have been fixed if it had been broken during the 4 times I took it in for service with this problem, I told them what the problem was each time, I was very adamant that there was a problem, but each time they drove it for a few minutes and said they could not duplicate the problem. What a racket. The bearing has been going out since I got the vehicle, but no one ever put it on the rack. The dealer says GM has to determine how to proceed, GM says they have to talk to the dealer to see how to proceed and in the meantime I know that "PONTIAC CARES!!!

Cheryl, 1. Did you purchase a extended service contract? If so it may provide coverage for you look at your paperwork. 2. Ask the service department if there are any T.S.B. (technical service bulletin's) describing your complaints. 3. Go to a different Chevrolet store for repair work I would not return to this facility as they may not be competent. 4. Have the work done by another Chevrolet dealership not an independent just Chevrolet. Ask the original store for a copy of all your work orders (it will be in their system and also in GM's system) then file in Small claims court it may take you about six months to get your money back but you will. 5. Did you purchase the vehicle new? If you did you may still be able to file for arbitration with GM to get results. This card will be attached to the owners manual, look in your glove box. Hope this helps,
