Do not buy a Ginlong wind generator unless you want to get stuck with an overpriced piece of crap. Paul, in the sales dept, will promise you anything if he can make a sale. Beware of Ginlong!!! These are cheaply made, poor quality Chinese wind generators that do not make any power. The Chinese have fooled the world into thinking their wind turbines are high quality. The Ginlong units are terrible at making power, and they look like there are designed by kindergarten children. The Ginlong company does not return emails once they have your money!! Do not waste your money. Our 1500 watt unit was tested in a University lab in Quebec. The unit only produced 40 watts of power instead of the advertised 1500 watts. When our class tried to contact Paul at Ginlong, he said we must be doing something wrong. My professor was shocked, so he sent several letters to Ginlong asking for technical assistance, but never received a response. Use something different than Ginlong if you are experimenting on a wind turbine, or your class will be disappointed!! We plan to sell this hunk of lard on ebay...cheap.

I am a mechanical engineer.  I have a 3.5 kw Ginlong generator.  I believe Ginlong makes quality products.  Form my experience, I give strong recommendation to Ginlong generators.

I would give great credence to the people at Ginlong.

The complaint strikes me as funny.  Shipping costs, as you should expect, are rather high to ship a device as heavy as a generator from China to the US.   I remember Paul - seemed like an unusual name for someone in China.  Anyway, Paul kept telling me I wanted DHL to ship it.  I kept telling Paul that DHL was too expensive.  I found a different, "cheaper" way to ship it.

It turned out my way was cheaper - a few dollars.  But, the extra headaches, work, and worry made it so much more expensive.  Paul was right.  I wanted DHL.

In my experience, Ginlong is quality.  I think the OP must be doing something wrong.
