*UPDATE..account been resolved full refund

After 3 meetings with career consultants, all I received were hardcopies of info to read of which is nothing innovative and unique and is readily available on the internet and books for much less $.

They promise personal consulting and strategizing of your personal marketable skills. The consultants have no idea how to do this but have a paper process they follow. Not very personal and definitely not effective.

Promised the first day to be full 8 hours with multiple resumes and cover letters to start with. First meeting had nothing and the consultant was not prepared and certainly was less than 8 hours.

The second meeting I was given 1 resume and cover letters that were clearly form/templates with fill in the blanks. The consultant was so off that the resume and cover letters completely missed by experience, my career goals and marketability.

I received feedback from other professionals in my field on the resume/cover letters and it was unanimous from all the the material was horrible and they could not believe that a professional prepared the material.

It was that BAD. When I nicely and professionally tried to discuss my dissatisfaction and the reasons why the consultant got very angry, raised his voice and threatened me (that he would not help me anymore and he is all I had left).

To move on and try working with them and their process, I apologized at least 5 times. Yet, I'm the customer..I did nothing wrong to apolozie for!! I received no apology from the consultant.

When I support customers I listen and try to resolve their complaints...Not Global Careers. His defensive manner is another example of the lack of talent and business skills. He could not leave it alone after the meeting and wrote me an email with the same anger and lack of professionalism.

I have never seen a customer treated so bad when a company provided bad service. I then called the VP (Lou Spadoni) after I already complained after the first meeting and lack of strategizing/consultation and now again after the 3rd meeting.

It was clear that it is a waste of my time in trying to work with GC and they do not have the ability to fullfill their promises or the contract. Lou sent me to the Executive VP, Kaye Jones - corporate office in Englewood, CO.

Kay never responds to my email, not even a professional 'I recieved your complaint and am looking into it'. Nope, just consistent lack of service and silence. I write again a week later.

Kay responds once stating she will call me the next day. After 2 business days, still no response. This shows that at the highest level they do not have the consumer's best interest in mind, have no professionalism and continue to show lack of service.

No wonder their entire business implementation is lacking. After reading the material on Bernard Haldane, it is EXACTLY the same sales process and lack of sercice received with Global Career.

They give you a data dump of hardcopies, all things completely obvious and is available on the internet (NO CONSULTING and STRATEGIZING). Just as Bernard Haldane, the VP who sells you (as if he will also be involved in your process, but you never see him again) also takes advantage of your vulnerable and frustrated job hunting condition.

He also compliments you on marketability and etc. So, if you are thinking of engaging with them (stronly recommend you don't), interview your consultant extensively and ask for references you can speak with and view work they are doing for another client (they will show you samples that are just cookie cutter forms) ask to view a resume and cover letter they have worked on in the past week that is still sitting on their desk.

I found absolutely no value and worse yet they did not have the maturity to discuss client's dissatisfaction. I believe this is the obvious tactic; they insult you and try to intimidate to keep you from turning back and to get you to accept the poor quality of work (hence is angry response face-to-face and again on email).

They have a cookie cutter format to follow and do not have the talent, skill and ability to truly strategize and consult in marketing you as a unqiue and highly valuable asset. When I asked about getting into big companies they also begin to panic.

It seems their process is to contact small companies that have corporate headquarters in your geographic location. If you are interested in working for a satellite office or even home office in your georaphic area, they are more lost....not that I'm saying they are effective with small companies because my experience with them shows they offer NO VALUE at all.

In summary, the executive VP (Kaye Jones0 who is suppose to be responsible for resolution does not respond and they have yet to credit me as I have requested. I have tried to resolve this with them directly and nicely, but they refuse to respond.

I now have contacted BBB and in the process of newspapers and TV stations. I hope this helps others from making a bad choice and wasting more of your valuable job hunting time. There may be a few good ones out there, but not by my experience with Global Career.

Nice person ripped off Seattle, Washington

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!

Having spent 30 years in the recruiting / search, career / marketing industries I can say first hand that there are very, very, few truly qualified 'counselors' in the Career Marketing or Career Management industry. Interview the counselor who will be assigned to your job search before you buy. Ten well thought out questions to the counselor will eliminate 95% of all jobseekers considering using this service. PS If that person in Seattle who originated the Rip Off Report concerning Global Career Management still needs help in his or her job search I will help him or her for FREE. Helping others sometimes has it's own just reward.

Kaye Jones called me and was very pleasant. She agreed to credit my account and did not attempt to argue the situation or sell me again. She apologized for the situation and did say this was rare, but GCM wants to take care of it per my request. As of this writing everything has been resolved and my account is credited with a full refund.
