I purchased a puppy from Gloria Janes a black female AKC miniature schnauzer. This puppy lived to be 16 weeks old, she was rushed to the vet because when she came inside from playing she was just simply not acting right.

The vet did everything possible but yet we lost our little girl. Once I got home I called Gloria and told her what had happened...I did ask her if she wanted a necropsy done on the little girl and she said "oh no you paid so much for her I will get you a replacement" and she told my dad the same thing in the same telephone conversation.

For several months I exchanged emails with Gloria about the replacement puppy, she was so friendly even telling me about the death of her cat and her fathers illness along with the fact that her siblings were not helping to care for him.

Needless to say when I began to question when this replacement puppy would be available Gloria suddenly got very "touchy" in her emails and refused to return any calls placed by me or my father.

Eventually she came right out and said she was not replacing our puppy and we were just out the 1,500.00 we paid for the puppy, the shipping costs and all the vet bills.

All Gloria will say is that to replace her puppies it is required that proof of a heriditary defect be present. My vet wrote her a letter and told her that this little girl never should have died, that there was fluid in and around her heart and lungs that her death was NOT caused by me, still she refuses to replace her.

Now I see she has placed a report on this site about a breeder in TN, I guess you call it KARMA, what goes around comes around etc. She can claim all the ethics in the world but now the real story comes out.

I have Bought Dogs From Glojan' for over 6 years . She is one of the most honest people i havever dealt with. If you do not follow her contract she has every right to deny. Have never had a health issue with any dog I have purchased. I Show dogs i have purchased from her as well as Bred off of her Lines. I have never had an issue. In my opinion one of the most upfront miniature schnauzer Breeders there. is. On this Complaint where this person doesnt not sign their Name. Absolutely No validation at All. Was this complaint related to the complaint coming from Tenn . Personally i think so. I can never say enough Nice about Glojan's. In the Contract it says take the puppy to the vet with in 3 days. if you failed to do so IT IS YOUR PROBLEM. Slander is Cheap. Darrell Ray Dennis. P.S. Glojan Victim is No Way to Sign a complaint and also did not spell Atlanta Right

The Real Puppy Fraud!

We had repeatedly asked for the records of the puppy to be sent to my vet, but we were refused. Why was that.  She couldn't tell me the same story twice about what caused the death of the puppy.  She tried to tell me it was hereditary so she could get another puppy for nothing.  But when she found out I wouldn't breed those 2 again since she was saying it was hereditary and she couldn't have a puppy from the same parents she changed her story.  She told us there were no records to fax, which was very strange because anytime an animal is presented to a vet a record is made and the treatment that followed. Then how could her vet know fluid was around her heart if there were testing done.  I finally got her to have her vet send me a letter at my request because we could not get the records faxed and he said it was not an hereditary problem that caused the death of the puppy, because she wanted me to breed the same parents so she could get a puppy just like the one she had.    I had asked for an autopsy but she buried the puppy before she called to tell me what had happened.  She is a dog breeder and she knew to do an autopsy so why wasn't it done.  Was it because she already knew what caused the death of the puppy.  If it had been me I would not have rested til I knew what happened to my puppy.   I'd want to know if it was something I did wrong or that could affect my other dogs. I am not responsible for the death of this puppy.  I did everything right.  The puppy was vet checked found to be healthy 1st vacs given and a health certificate given, before she was flown home.  the puppy should have been seen at least 3 times by her vet in the 8 weeks that she had her.  Once for a well baby check 2nd set of vacs and 3rd set of vacs.  That means the puppy was seen approximately every 2 weeks by a vet.  If anything had been wrong with the puppy her vet would have found it.  A breeder can not be held responsible for anything more than hereditary problems.  Once the puppy is out of their control it is up to the owner to care for the puppy.  The puppy had been in her care for 8 weeks.  I agree the puppy should not have died.  The puppy died on her watch not mine.  What is up with her saying she lives in Atlas Ga.  She lives in MI.  Why is she not being truthful about that.  Where are her ethics!  She can't even tell you where she lives.  Trying to get another puppy for nothing just because she paid so much. She wanted a puppy from the same parents so what does that tell you.  You have your vet post his letter on this forum that the puppy died from hereditary causes and that I am responsible for the death of this puppy!    You won't because it was not hereditary and I did not cause the death of this puppy, YOU did!
