Gram-Crackers ripoff Holiday scam victimizing children. Santa's letter never arrives, neither does refund. Internet
In November 2003, I came across Gram-Crackers.com who were offering (and still are at this date) personalized letters from Santa for $5.95.
I gave my debit card information to this company and was charged accordingly. My little 5 year old daughter was very excited waiting for her letter.
As of March 2004, we still have heard no word from the jolly old elf, nor Gram-crackers.com, whom I have attempted to contact approximately 8 or so times.
I have emailed them regarding a refund over and over and have not heard a word.
My daughter was very dissapointed that Santa never wrote.

Signe: Nope, I have never had any relationship with gram-crackers.com. I just came up with the idea of doing this a few years back for my nieces and nephews, and it's now expanded to where I also do them for the kids of some of my friends. I find it fun to write the letters, finding just the right thing to say. Of course, I consult with the parents first. Don't want 'Santa' accidently promising something or saying something wrong. One of the best parts is visiting their homes a day or two after the letters arrive and the kids, especially the younger ones, are so excited to show you, and everyone else, the letters they got from Santa. Give it a try yourself this year. You know your child better than anyone else, so who better to write a letter that will be perfect for her? Find some really fun Christmas print paper, and use a matching envelope, or a red or green envelope to keep in the fun of the season. And don't tell your daughter she's getting a letter, that way it will be even more of a surprise when it arrives.

A representative did finally contact me and apologized. I was offered my money back as well as a "freebie" as a gesture of good will. I will update as/if these things happen. The above rebuttal is not from Gram-crackers.com is it? They would not just give a list of instructions and reasons not to use their products would they?.......Interesting.

It's easy to have a letter from Santa sent to your child from the North Pole for basically no more than the cost of a couple envelopes, a sheet of paper, and two stamps. I do this every year for my nieces and nephews. Just write the letter to your child, highly personalized, and sign it Santa, or St. Nick, or whatever. I use a font on my computer that looks handwritten to write and print the letters, then sign them with a gold ink pen. Put the letter in an envelope addressed to your child, with a return address of North Pole, Alaska 99705. Mail that envelope in another envelope to: Postmaster North Pole, AK 99705 Include with your first envelope a note asking the postmaster to postmark and mail the letter to your child. Your child will get a letter from Santa, with a North Pole postmark. To make sure the letter gets to your child before Christmas get these sent to the North Pole post office at least 6 weeks before Christmas. I always have mine out the weekend before Thanksgiving. In 4 years of doing this every letter has arrived to my nieces and nephews with no problem.
