Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I attended Grand Canyon University 3 1/2 years ago, where I had transferred from Blinn College with an AA degree.

Lets go back a little bit in my life. I grew up with the understanding that I had a learning disability, which carried over into high school (being a drop out) to struggling my first two years in Junior college to get ahead in order to overcome that stigma. I remember coming close to graduation Fall 2011 in which I decided to take courses at GCU because I felt like I was not capable enough to attend a regular public traditional institution even though friends around me went that way (Texas A&M, Nebraska etc). I felt like I could not get into a school like that with my learning disability. So I eventually settled for a quiet (at the time) school like GCU.

Little did I know that would be the worse decision in my life. Things changed every semester attending GCU and I felt alone and overwhelmed there. I was heavily criticize and shunned because of my strong beliefs. That and many other personal inflicted depressing situations affected my senior year. I eventually flunked  out(had three classes left). Banned from campus (which I have since then been able to get reinstated) because I was homeless and didnt have a place to go and I was sleeping in my car on campus. Oh and also I got a $10,000 transcript hold bill. So I cant even go to another school let alone a community college if I tried because the schools requeste, in the application all of my transcripts and I can only provide them one which is from my Blinn College days. Also I have to correct my hold before moving on to the next school.

When i call to get help they instantly send me over to collections, that experience is like hitting a brick wall. It's now or never with them. Even though no explanation was given. I would rather take out a student loan to pay for it or use what I have left of my grant money. I am 27 years old, happily married with two children that look up to me. and I work for them. I'm trying to do the best that I can do and I know that means going back to school which I am motivated to do. I just found out, talking to a University of Texas in Dallas Senior Advisor that the credits would not even be considered transferable from GCU or any For profit school. I still have to submit a transcript to even be considered and if I am denied for reason of: GCU not releasing my transcript than I cant get back into any school. I dont care if no credits will transfer (which the school I want to apply for dont even offer the degree) and in fact only 42 is core curriculum (which I completed at Blinn College) 5 credits are free elective courses (specifically they want a business course to fill this role) and the rest of the credits- 73 credits going towards major (BS accounting degree). My degree at GCU was in Christian Studies. Senior advisor confirmed that no credits will transfer to UTD because of my program and GCU's for profit status. I just need GCU to please work with me to release my transcript so that i can actually apply for schools. Somebody in high position at GCU-and not in collection-I need help. I'm at a bended knee.
