Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I was high pressured to buy 4 weeks at Grand mayan five years ago. I did so and the first two years things went reasonably fine. Then the last 3 years I have been unable to make reservations without calling and calling and calling for availability. I found out from travel brokers on ebay that the Grand Mayan pressures many people like myself, tells totally false stories how easy it is to make reservations or sell your weeks if you need to. These are downright lies they tell you. Instead they sell the weeks you think you are going to get to discount brokers and any one else that they made you pay , in my case $100,000 for, and then have the gall to charge you an extra maintenance fee every five years. When i bought my four weeks, they said the maintenance fees would stay reasonable. they have not stayed reasonable. Instead raising them alot each year and also not giving you the times you want. If a person has a week or two and has money he wants to give them 6 mon ths ahead of schedule so they can use your money then you may be able to get a week. The companyb simply wants to steal your timeshare weeks and sell them to the first travel dsicount broker they can and you get left with high maintenance fees and no availability. These are the lowest creeps, liars, and theives in the timeshare business. Call me at (((ROR redacted))) if you would like to file a class action suit against these theiving bastards

Unfortunately, Mayan Palace timeshare sales in Mexico are in its majority a huge scam. The OPC, the one on the street inviting you makes $250-$350 per couple...so be sure he tells you any lie there is. Timeshare sales people are rotating from place to place and mostly alcoholics that look for their 8% commission. We were surprised how they work, like sharks, and some are really good showing numbers, benefits, etc...If i did not know, i probably would have bought. Be careful and NEVER make a decision the same day!! They love this, just tell them that you need to think about and they will throw in all they have..that is the sign that something is not quite right...

DO NOT DO THE MAYAN PALACE TIMESHARE PRESENTATION! We tried to say no until we were so tired of it we agreed to a 90 minute presentation for $100 USD per couple and 10% off of our charges for the week. The 90 minutes became 150 minutes. Each time they were ready to let us leave a different person prevented us from leaving. Very rude and dishonest. I had to express anger at the fifth person before they showed us the door. This left a sour taste in our mouths for the last few days.

Is there a class action lawsuit against Grand Mayan? And if yes then can someone please post the law firms telephone number so that I may join the suit. I just want my money back. I can never make a reservation during the high periods for the past 5 years. And I have never used my resort weeks, nor once because there are no openings.

Mayan Palace sales tactics are hardcore and they will tell you anything you want to hear to get you into the contract and keep you in contract with them. It is too common for the sales representative to offer you an upgrade if you already own a timeshare with them. This is a good article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions on how most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare Scams are committed and how to get out of them:
