For recent business travel I booked a flight through Priceline in November 2008. The following type of scheme also works with Orbitz. The big mistake is they offered a discount which I took advantage of, only to find out that I innocently subscribed myself to a service that would charge my account $11.99 per month. I missed the first two deductions, which started in December, but started to question it when I identified it as a mysterious recurring expense.
Great Fun had also sent two checks to me for $10 as well, but reading the fine print, if you cash the check you are automatically enrolled in HealthSaver for $200 in year one and $210 in year two through an automatic renewal scam. Beware when offered online discounts, you may be biting off more than you wish to chew. This is a very dirty play.
