This is for Tracy in LA...Contact Janet at "Indo Salon" in West Hollywood for Great Lengths. She does a fabulous job and has a large celebrity following as well as we "regular folk!" I've had them for two years continuously till this past month and they are virtually trouble free if done correctly. Just a little "replacement" session every two months or so and the style evolves depending on your degree of layering. Daily brushing is a MUST! Tangles can be a real problem for those who do NOT follow the rules!

I have searched the internet for Great Lenghts certified hair stylists and salons in the Greater Los Angeles, Southern California area with very little success. If you've had a positive experience with a particular stylist or GL cert salon please contact me at [email protected]. I have worn extensions for over 10 years and I understand the GL method. Most of the information I've read about this technique has been overwhelmingly positive. So I'm prepared to have it applied to my hair. I would feel better if I was referred by someone that has had positive results with a particular salon. Thank you in advance.

you say that 'great lengths' is rubbish what is the magic method that you speak of....does it exist....I have tried all of the extension techniques available and found this to be the best. Some hair is not suitable to extend and most extensions left unchecked will become problematic. I explain all the pros and cons of extensions before I do them. If you see any good extensions on celebrities they will be 'great lengths'. You can bag the salon but you cannot bag the extension system.....$850 is not a large a sum of money when it comes to extensions....bad luck for you...but I suggest following your instincts when dealing with lieing business people....and there are loads of them. I am sorry that you had a bad experience with this extension method. I have been doing them for 3 years now and have never had an unsatisfied client. I have my own salon and have seen shoddy extensions done by bad hairdressers (hair being pulled out thru sloppy application & no backup service)using the same method I do. Unfortunately just because a salon has the system doesn't mean they can do them well. I am glad you found someone who did your hair perfectly...thats what you should be able to get. I would love to know their technique. I am always looking for ways to improve. As far as I know the great lengths method (with an experienced extensionist) is the best....if there was a better way available to me...I would be doing it. cheers

I work in a salon in San Diego and they work w/ the hair extensions you mentioned "Great Lengths". Anyway I was really bummed to hear this happened to you I personally have never seen anyone going in or out of the salon I work at unhappy with their great lengh's extensions but the stylist that put them in are highly experienced and they have to take a classes before they can touch a human. I suggest if anyone wants extensions, make sure the stylist has been doing it for a long time and ask to see their work(most of them take "before and after" pictures). Also just FYI,you will pay a pretty price for them and for them to be taken out, anyway hope everyone has a great hair day even if it's not really yours, lol.
