DEar readers:

I sent the following email to BBB in order hoping for a reasonable mediation, but Green way Ford DENIES my claim and even states that I had been offered a TRADE IN VALUE OVER THE ESTABLISHED AND AGREED PRICE FOR THE TRADE IN.

This is obviously questionable.

THe only purpose of this report is to let EVERYBODY know that if you decide to purchase in Greenway Ford, TRIPLE CHECK PERSONALLT THE KELLY BB, QUOTES.

Last but not leat a Merry Chritmass to you all and to Greenway Ford which will pay many times more than the $ 300, LOSING A CUSTOMER AND ALL FUTURE REFERRALS.

Dear Mr. Davis:

Considering that I have not had a fair and equitable resolution to my problem and tried to contact you twice through the front desk of Greenway Ford Im directing my complaint directly to you in writing.

On October 24 I bought a new Ford Focus sedan with the help of one of your sales agents Rick Jordan.

The deal went through and I traded in a Ford Focus 2004 Wagon which I had bought at Greenway in 2004.

Before the transaction, my trade in was inspected, appreciated and an offer made.

As I stated that I had researched a better price through Kelley BB , Mr. Jordan went online privately to the Kelley BB web site and submitted a counter offer for my approval which I did, trusting that it was fair and honest and obtained as quoted in the Kelley BB online.

The same day I bought the car, in the evening; I went through Kelly BB online at home and found out to my surprise the quote given at Greenway by the salesperson was off by $ 500 or more.

Due to this awkward situation, the next day I confronted Mr. Jordan and explained what was happening.

He was surprised and went through the Kelly BB quote online in my presence, confirming that his quote was mistaken by more or less $500.

Next I went to talk with Miguel Torres who was my loan officer and explained what was happening, he asked Mr. Jordan to come in and we went together through the facts.

As there was a conflict of interests, I openly stated that I did not trust the quote I had been given and that the data for the appraisal had been probably incorrectly entered.

Unfortunately, as no solution was clearly at hand and I was being unfairly targeted, I voiced my intention to report the circumstances to the Better Business Bureau.

After expressing my desire that I should receive financial compensation with no contingencies and according to the Kelley BB, Mr. Torres mediated and after speaking to someone who was undisclosed, said that I would receive a $300 cash settlement for the inconvenience.

Even though this was not the total amount I was entitled to, I accepted.

On 11/28/2007 I returned to Greenway Ford to receive the check for the agreed amount only to be informed by Mr. Torres that I should return two days later for a resolution on the matter, even though he had said three weeks earlier that I would get the amount.

This has been upsetting, to say the least and undermines the credibility of Greenway Ford, two of your employees and the fairness in which business is handled, not to mention that my time and grievance was exploited.

I would appreciate it if you could personally solve this problem which is only a fair and sensible complaint.

Please refer to others involved for any other details you may need or feel free to call or e-mail .

That's an Amazing Trade-in Price

#2Consumer Suggestion

Sun, December 23, 2007

Usually you get the same price it would cost the dealer to buy a similar car at auction. This is usually thousands under the Blue Book Trade in Value. I can't believe that Greenway was only $500 under BB. You have done this dealership a great service by bringing this out. They should pay you the $500 for the free advertising. If I lived in Orlando and was looking for a new Ford I'd head right to Greenway. You must not have traded in many cars in your lifetime. I have and Greenway gave you a great deal. Actually I understand that there is a BB for dealers and one for consumers. The dealer one gives more accurate and usually lower figures based on actual auction data.
