Complaint Review: Greg Burkey - Stuart Florida

Anyone reading this thread should check out Rex Alanrode.  Right, you can't find anything about him on the Internet.  That's very unusual in this day and age.  This is even more reason to beware.

It's too bad that people believe what they read on the internet,  when people are hiding behind lies or what should be clearly posted  for slanderous ways. I have used this firm on and off for years and trust them with my home and yacht. I suggest that as with my company and others exemployees , wifes or friends people like to defame others to make themselves feel better. A pattern is one thing but this silly sihat our group of boating friends is another, I believe that out boating circle is very happy with Burkey and his hard work. After posting the original comments, my new mechanic (way over 20 years in business with an impeccable reputation) has reported that he has heard from several other local boaters and individuals in the local boating industry that they had similar or worse stories regarding this individual.  Greg is what he is.  Maybe he has reformed.  But he did it after leaving a trail of grief behind.

States have enacted "cyberstalking" or "cyberharassment" laws or have laws that explicitly include electronic forms of communication within more traditional stalking or harassment laws. In addition, recent concerns about protecting minors from online bullying or harassment have led states to enact "cyberbullying" laws. This chart identifies state laws that include specific references to electronic communication. However, other state laws may still apply to those who harass, threaten or bully others online, although specific language may make the laws easier to enforce. This chart classifies the various state laws addressing these three different types of online behaviors, as described below.

Cyberstalking.  Cyberstalking is the use of the Internet, email or other electronic communications to stalk, and generally refers to a pattern of threatening or malicious behaviors. Cyberstalking may be considered the most dangerous of the three types of Internet harassment, based on a posing credible threat of harm. Sanctions range from misdemeanors to felonies.

Cyberharassment. Cyberharassment differs from cyberstalking in that it may generally be defined as not involving a credible threat. Cyberharassment usually pertains to threatening or harassing email messages, instant messages, or to blog entries or websites dedicated solely to tormenting an individual. Some states approach cyberharrassment by including language addressing electronic communications in general harassment statutes, while others have created stand-alone cyberharassment statutes.

We have sued on Mr. Burkey's behaf and collected several thousand dollars in damages. Consider the fact that you are adding to a slander campain and could be involved in future litigation. Thank you! Bill Donner

 yes this is true. grey burkey is an alcohalic crook. he will work on your boat drunk. if you leave him keys to your boat, he will drive it and say its a "sea trial" he will steal your stuff. he abuses drugs. look up his arrest record. hes got a b.u.i. hes wrecked a boat into roosevelt bridge in stuart. he will steal your parts. the painting part is true, ive watched him. this guy needs to be put behind bars. how do i know? i used to work for him..
