GSI, CSM, Citizen Services Management Education Cash Grants for fee Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands
My daughter who is a college student was contacted via cellphone by this company CSM and offered a cash grant toward education.
She was asked numerous questions which required only yes questions. My daughter being somewhat familiar with education funding which she has received, believed this to be just another legitimate grant offer.
She gave this company her checking acct number. The money was taken out of her acct. That's when I found out about it. Did a quick search and called the number given to her and found out the bad news.
I've called the company twice and the story is we will receive a forms package within 6 to 8 weeks to fill out for grants. I told them to cancel the order and refund the money back into the acct, which is open and a deposit acct only now. The lady said We must first wait for the arrival of the forms package prior to asking for a refund. At which time they will send out a refund form. The forms package will not be sent out either until their bank comfirms the money transfer into their account. The money was taken out of the account a week earlier and I told her the money was already in their account. I demanded a return of the money, and cancel the order. Still got the run around.
No manager on the premises, no supervisor on premises until the next day.
I called the second time the following day, got the same story.
This company has no fax machine and no supervisors.
We filed a police report for possible fraud, and being out of the country nothing really can be done. But we will be taking it to the bank along with information garnered here at this site to demand reimbursement and to file the Fed Reg E form
