GuardLine Sales attempted to scam money for a sight unseen large purchase Gardena, California florida
I responded to a Craiglist ad for a 2004 Trophy center console boat and motor that was priced at about half of it's worth and based on pictures looked new. The seller was very courteous in her answer to my inquiry, but said she would be selling the boat through GuardLine Sales, an on-line consignment service. The way the deal is supposed to work is I wire the money for the boat ($4,200.00), then within 3-5 days the boat is shipped to my house. Then I have 7 days to inspect it and either accept or reject the boat. If I reject, tthey will immediately refund the money. GuardLine Sales' website (Guardline-sales.com) looks real, but when I clicked on "Contact Us", it says that unfortunately they do not support phone calls at this time. They even say they no it sucks but they're prioritizing getting phones. This looks like a huge rip-off scam and as soon as they are exposed as a scam, they'll simply change their name and do it again, after collecting no telling how much scam money from unsuspecting suckers. Don't do business with this company - it appears to be a massive scam.
