I purchased my BRAND NEW 2013 travel trailer July 13 (Friday the 13th) this year at a dealership in Middlebury IN.does this give you a clue as to how this starts out? Well, I guess it should have given me oneif I had paid closer attention.  Now that its too late for me.maybe you can learn from my many mistakes in buying this NEW ultra light TT.

Two weeks after my purchase on Friday the 13th, and after camping on my own lot in Northern Indiana, I headed on my way back to Phoenix for my next job assignment.  Both 30ft screw cap covers flew off the sides of the camper walls (at the same time) forcing me to pull over and roll them up off the highway before Amarillo TX. in order to tear them off. The dealer, via cell phone, said it was "cosmetic" and these could be replaced in Phoenix.

Only two hours later...the FIRST tire blew out at an Amarillo intersection after I pulled out of a Fazoli's drive thru parking lot. Luckily, I was only minutes from having gotten up to speed on the highway again AND there was also a gentleman Texan behind me who helped me change my FIRSTbald/flat tire with my spare.

We slowly rolled past of the busy intersection, and while he changed out the first tire with the tell tale tread pattern, I knew enough to go look at the other tire only to find that it was right behind the first tire...and ready to blow. Both tires were worn down to the white threads...but only on the inside 1/2 of the tread (could not see this standing from the
outside...only after getting UNDERNEATH the TT to "look").

We drove with my blinkers on to a nearby RV park until the next AM when I would have to buy another new tire to replace the second bad tire still on the camper. Did not have enough left after being "robbed" to buy another new
spare though...Another gentleman and his son at the RV park helped me  change the second bad tire.

I "babied" my TT and its new tires the rest of the way to Phoenix worried these too, would go bad, and finally got there at 5am in time to shower at a friends house and start my new job that same day. Along the way, my fridge also stopped cooling right and my food got warm...mostly when on the propane it seemed. I put a bag of ice in the freezer
to help. But once in Phoenix, even using an electric plug was not enough to keep my food from eventually going bad.

After two weeks in Phoenix (one week parked at a friend's place unused) I called over to a mobile RV repair guy to
figure out the fridge problem. He said the TT frame was CLEARLY not square and that the fridge did not have a
baffle/insulation across the top where there was a big dead space now creating xtra heat across the top of the fridge. I would also need a fan installed to "help" the fridge cool itself in Phoenix....it was 105-110 degrees now.

After speaking with the factory (many times in fact) I found an authorized dealer in Phoenix who said the LIPPERT axle needed to be replaced, (they've replaced these defected axles before but there was never a recall--and further, Gulfstream VISA's were no longer sold at their dealerships!!) Along with the wheels and fridge repair, I could be looking at 12 weeks in the shop!

I was on my second assignment in AZ. with no other place to live!!! We agreed I'd wait to bring in the TT after all of the permissions/parts were obtained first. ....Until the air conditioner stopped cooling the very next week!! I had to lose a day from work the next day to move out my things, my remaining food, my 90lb dog and a sick cat into a friends apt. for the next 4 weeks It was not an easy arrangement given the unexpected circumstances.

This was on Aug 27th 2012 and I have not seen this TT since.... I am on an Indian reservation in AZ now and still on a waiting list for hospital provided housing...I have slept on various "couches for three months now and have my personal belongings scattered between three friends homes and two garages. My cat has gone blind b/c the STRESS of ALL of these changes/moves shot up her BP and the pressure dilated her pupils permanently.

The dog seems to be holding up well though...not so with my lower back or savings account--both pretty crippled.
My experience with GULFSTREAM and OUTPOST RV has sidelined not only my travel career, but my life as I knew it only a few short months ago. I will never get back into this TT or any other RV from the OUTPOST RV OR GULFSTREAM Again. I
have NO FAITH, NO CONFIDENCE, AND NO TRUST in this TT, OUTPOST RV, OR Gulfstream who intends to only perform the warrantee work on this.beyond a shadow of doubt LEMON. Don't blame them I guess. Its certainly CHEAPER than making things RIGHT, standing behind their product, or offering to put me into another trailer more appropriate to my needs and much SAFER and secure to be in! If they think Im potentially going thru ANY of this AGAIN in their repaired
version of this SAME camper? THINK AGAIN. My cat may have 9 livesbut I only have ONE, and I barely, by the grace of GOD, repeatedly, got LUCKY while surviving the tribulations of this camper within the two weeks that everything
started going BAD.

Yes, I may have shown my own stupidity throughout this entire ordeal from start to finish (as some of you might chuckle and nod your heads). But what you may not realize, is that there really IS a GOD and Im really and truly, NOT THAT stupid.  Once inside this TT was way more than enoughthanks.

Go Anywhere.  . Visa by Gulf Stream is a dream come true for you

LOL! You mean go anywhereeven to Hell, right?   (Cause thats where Ive been living for quite some time now, thanks to you and the OUT POST RV!)

.. I thought it would be a dreambut I think you must have meant: nightmareI guess after all, by definition, nightmares are dreams too (in a twisted kind of way).

So I ask? What kind of NEW 2013 dream TT wears down its tires to the bone at 1200 miles, stops cooling its fridge, AND needs the air conditioner replaced---all within 6 weeks of purchase??? (Oh I forgot to mention the floor seam near the door that split apart on DAY ONE and the wood panels/moldings that have curled up (and off) around the bed?

There are no more words to convey my grief, stress, and depression right now. Obviously, I need a good lawyer on my side,.if someone can recommend one? I am exhausted, overwhelmed, and need some serious, professional, LEGAL assist to get my life back on track without LOSING any more of MY money or sanity in this mess of a deal.  (as a former psychiatric nurse, I think Im doing a pretty good job of holding the rest of my life together for now).

I just wanted to be in a safe and sound camper that meets my travel needs-was this TOO MUCH to ask?.

I even thought it was nice to be able to help an industry (and a part of the country) so seriously DEPRESSED in this economy in the process of meeting my own needs. But I guess that was another mistake..

Gulfstream remains welcome to buy back their NEW Travel Trailer. built with the finest craftsmanship, value and durability .  from the bank (Marine ONE) who has been so gracious and patient and willing to try and work
with the Gulfstream factorywith no success!

Thanks a million....
