i have tried to contact the manager of the service departament threw their website with no luck. after finding this report i complained to the management because i have had a very similar incident at the same dealership involving the same Certified Car Care warranty. I purchased a 2000 oldsmobile alero at oldsmobileof morton grove (same owner and gurnee) and when i wanted a extendid warranty, the only thing that was avalible was this ccc warranty. i had western deversified in the past and was familiar with their service and asked why i could not get it at their dealership. the response i got was that the owner only authorized us to sell this ccc exclusevly. if i would have known he was the owner i would have NEVER BOUGHT IT. This obviously creates a conflict of intrest for te service department. After a fev months i began to have some drivebility problems and some reception problems with my radio. when i took it back to olds they went out of business but when i called them a message directed me to their gurnee store. The car to this day was in 5 times for the same 2 problems with e very time a part that "is not under warranty" was replaced. they would not fix the problem just make excuses why the repair was not covered. I decided to take my car elsware and on the first try they replaced the radio which was covered and 3 injectors which were also covered. these repairs instantly solved my problems, i called gurnee back and spoke to the general manager and told him my situation and he pretty much said to bad, you should have brought it back here.

i worked with the person listed above. although mark may be not in the greatest of moods in the mornings he still is a nice guy. a persons drinking should not ere, be involved here unless it is relevant to the story. i am now a shop owner in winetka and first hand experience showed me that warranty infact was junk. it did nothing for anybody but put money in the owners pocket at first and then it was up to the manager to make any excuse posible to the customer to not cover the claim so john would not get down your back. there is a person who would be able to answer any questions about your problem. he was marks asistant back when oldsmobile was near your home in morton grove. i belive he still lives there to. his name was derrick, belive he will be able to answer any questions fairly since he is no longer working for the company and has nothing to lose. I wonder what happened to him anyway, i seen him last about a year ago, he is now a whloesaler, saw him at chicagos greater auto auction. if you would like any info i think he was the one who procesed most of the claims for that dealer. Just post your questions below...
