You can not actually see it in the photo, but it contains a hand written note with "hanging hat stables" info on it. The note states that they "forgot" that the coggins had expired... yet no health paper work was received, nor any money.
My point to writing this is to inform others... Nothing can change my situation, as they will not take the mule back. I just don't want to see others be placed in my position. There are LOTS of places to purchase equines. If you have any reservations at all, please heed this warning and choose another farm! You could be VERY sorry...
And if my claim is false... why do I still have a kicking mule in my barn?!

This complaint is completely exaggerated and vindictive. Hanging Hat Stables works very hard to make the right match with animals. This customer stated that "they had much experience with mules and understood them." Animals are not required to come with a health certificate, the customer did not request one, AND the transporter did not require one. As well, the coggins report, there was an opportunity to transport the mule quickly for the customer, and she took it. There was not time for any other "medical reports" to be done if she wanted to catch that trip. Everyone agreed on that and the mule was transported, per customers request.
This customer demanded her money back FIVE weeks after her purchase of the mule. Hanging Hat Stables guarantees MEDICAL SOUNDNESS for a return on monies, which the customer knew. They CAN NOT guarantee that it will be the right match OR that a person can handle an animal as well or "the same" as they can. Nor can they always "take an animal back" after weeks of unknown handling and training. This mule is 100% SOUND.
This customer was given video taken only 2 days before her purchase, completely UNEDITED, of RIDING AND picking up this mules feet. There was NO manipulation to the videos AT ALL. This mule IS easy to ride, WILL stand for grooming, bathing, saddling, catching and for the farrier. If that has changed, it is not because of anything other than her new location or handlers, HHS can not control that, OR guarantee that to not happen. HHS is very sorry that this did not work out for the customer and DID try to come to an agreement. This complain was premature and unprofessional.
Hanging Hat Stables works very hard at training AND to find permanant homes for any horse or mule that we sell. This complaint can be followed by 100's of refferals, happy customers and compliments to Hanging Hat Stables. Anyone that has any questions about anything is welcome to contact Hanging Hat Stables or multiple references.
