Well to begin with my husband and i live with his parents while we get on our feet. my father in law decided he wanted to get another dog for his dog archie to play with. so we checked the local paper and found happy tails.

she had a rat terrier (same kind as archie) for $25 dollars since rat terriers are usually cheap we decided to call her. she told she had 2 male rat terriers 4 months old.

so we decided to go look at him. when we were on our way she gave us bad directions so we got lost so we called her back to find out how to get there she got mad gave us directions again. we should have felt something was off but we kept going.

we finally made it out there. she showed us the male and female instead of 2 males. well since archie is already fixed he decided to go with the female. well we asked about shots and wormings and she said everything was up to date.

so we brought pepper home. when we got here she was scared as any normal dog is. but after 2 weeks she still wouldnt let us touch her. she snaps at my 4 year old. she has never seen certain things and loud noises scare her. she has never been socialized.

Just by looking at her teeth you can tell she isnt 4-6 months old more like 6 years old.

anyway after the 2 weeks of her being here my chihuahua puppy who was up to date on shots started coming down with something. so we took him to the vet and the vet gave him a wormer and said see how that does. well by the next day he hadnt even improved he had gotten worse.

he stopped eating and drinking he had diarrhea. so we took him to a different vet. the vet hospitalized him and gave him supportive care. he improved over 3 days and the 4th day he was there he got diarrhea really bad and passed away the vet did a parvo test on him and it came back positive. well we also had pepper tested she was positive. so we had to get all the dogs booster shots even though they werent due for 6 months.

the puppy that died cost 450 and the vet bill was over 600 dollars. the lady is a ripoff dont get any dog from her they are not socialized or vaccinated. if anyone else out there has had this happen please report it. people need to know. she is selling dogs that are carriers of parvo. the only reason it didnt kill pepper was because she is older and her immune system is stronger than my puppys was he was only about 10 weeks old.
