We purchased a Jeep Cherokee from Harrelson Ford. Prior to purchase, a belt squealed extremely loud when the a/c is first turned on and sounded as if it was going to pop, and the front driver's side speaker did not work.

We didn't want to take the car off the lot the day we bought it due to the belt squealing and the speaker but we were assured by Jim Hayes that if we brought it back, these items would be taken care of.

We have taken the Jeep to Harrelson 4 times in an attempt to have the items repaired. Tom Rivers (service manager) also assured me that these items would be fixed and he went on to state that he was a man of his word, and that I could ask anyone and this would be verified. However, the belt continues to squeal loudly when the a/c first starts, and now both front speakers will not work unless one opens and closes the driver's side door after the car is running with the stereo on.

We have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau of Charlotte, NC and Harrelson's response is that this is all they are going to do to a used vehicle since none of the items are safety related and not under warranty. All parties involved are aware of this.

All we are asking is that Harrelson Ford, Jim Hayes and Tom Rivers keep their word and do what they stated they would do from the start. We would prefer that someone else do the repair(s) to the belt so that the a/c can be started without the belt squealing and correct the damage to both speakers since we feel that we can no longer trust the above mentioned parties. Thank you.
