Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This is an exact copy of a post I posted on another forum due to my experience with Harrelson Toyota. The experience was SO BAD, I felt like I had to post it somewhere else to help others avoid Harrelson Toyota in Rock Hill at all costs!

**** Harrelson Toyota gave me the runaround when I bought a new Camry from them! They didn't have what I wanted (didn't have the right options) so they said they could order the car for me and it would take 1 week. Harrelson told me they found the exact car I wanted but it was still at the distribution center. My sales guy was Nick. He seemed really nice at first, but like everyone at Harrelson Toyota in Rock Hill, they are a bunch of talk and no action and they sure as heck don't care about their customers. A week went by, and my car hadn't arrived.

Two weeks went by, and not only did my car NOT ARRIVE, but no one at Harrelson called me! Nick didn't call me. When I called in to Harrelson Toyota and got the secretary, she would ask who I was and when she found out what I was calling about, she would transfer me to some other person with a smooth talking voice but who never called back.

Three weeks went by and I had given up on them. I wanted my new car, and I was already talking to another dealer because Harrelson Toyota wasn't treating me right. Finally after 3 weeks and 5 days, Harrelson called me and said my car was in! I complained on the phone as to why it took so long, and told them I wanted my deposit back and that I was going to another dealer. They said they couldn't give the deposit back. They said they would throw in a free oil change. I felt like that wasn't enough so I told them "no way". I went in to the Harrelson Toyota dealership to give them a piece of my mind and get

my deposit back. They showed me the car. It was exactly what I wanted, except.. get this... It had 250 miles on it! Apparently it had been on several test drives AND one of the sales guys had used it for a week for his personal car. It even had sticky soda spills in the cup holders! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!??!! Harrelson got really nasty and mean and told me they were not giving my deposit back and they were going to keep it. They said i would have to speak with the finance department. I met with some guy named Jaques Deadwiley (what a name!!) who said he was a finance manager. He started off really calm, but by the time we were done he was literally yelling at me!!! He said they were going to keep my deposit and wanted me to leave the Harrelson Toyota premises immediately!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I called the BBB but haven't heard back yet. I'm pressing charges if Harrelson Toyota doesn't call me back this week with an appology AND my money! Harrelson Toyota in Rock Hill is the worst car dealer in America and should be shut down!

FOUR DEAD AFTER CAR PLUNGES INTO SOUTHLAKE POND....

can be 'Googled'.

****Anyone can 'Google' this- FOUR DEAD AFTER CAR PLUNGES INTO SOUTHLAKE POND, and read where four people died after their Toyota Avalon plunged into that Texas pond, right?

**********************************ALERT**********************************

*Anyone can 'Google' this- MY LEXUS IS DEFECTIVE, and watch the videos that are available at that site.

Four people died in the Lexus accident (one was a California Highway Patrol Officer), and one woman died in the 2005 Toyota Camry accident, correct? Other Toyota & Lexus owners were interviewed in the video. One had a Lexus, one had a Toyota Highlander, and the other had a Toyota Prius which crashed into a river in Colorado, right?

*SPREAD THIS ALL OVER THE WEB at sites like 'TWITTER' & 'FACEBOOK'.

Thank You.

First, you can't "order" a car and receive it within a week.

They undoubtably did a dealer trade with another dealer to get you the car you requested. In those cases it is not unusual for the car to have a couple hundred miles as it has to be driven from the original dealer to the selling dealer. A car that has never been titiled with a full warranty and only 250 miles is not a "used" car by any stretch of the imagination. If I were you, I would have been happy to get the car I wanted and would have been driving around in it enjoying myself.

As far as the deposit goes, they may be correct. If they made the dealer trade to get a specific car that you requested, and now feel that is is going to be difficult to sell to someone else, I'm not sure why they should be stuck just because you changed your mind.
