While looking for a 4+ bedroom home to rent for myself & my family, I came across this property management company displaying a few homes that potentially meet the standards & needs of what I'm looking for. I make contact and meet with a guy named Cory. Although seeming exceptionally professional over the phone, I later learn that he's a little unfamiliar with the policies & procedures of the company he works for. As a result, I was told wrong information regarding my credit score and how they go about obtaining personal information. They promote that it's free to apply, vs paying an application fee. The reason for this is because they don't look at your credit through Experian, Equifax, or Trans Union at all. They approve a person on an entirely different system called Saferent. According to this system, they provide a consumers report and a score that is generated, NOT WHAT IS ACTUALLY SHOWING ON YOUR CURRENT CREDIT REPORT(S) OR ANY OTHER NATIONAL CREDIT REPORTING AGENCY. In fact the score they receive from Saferent will be drastically lower then what is actually showing on your current report(s). For more info on Saferent, google corelogic. If you are satisfied with being approved based on scores that aren't true or current, then renting from this company along w/ other companies like it is for you. If you are like me, and have paid off debt and would like to be approved/denied  based on what my actual credit score is showing then stay away from companies that offer free application & credit check, because that isn't what this is.
