Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Our son received a service dog from this place had it 1 week, went threw 2 months of training with the dog, and myself Chris's mom went into the hospital and they came and took Owen, Chris's dog away from him, said it was going into foster care and he could get him back. That never happened. He was told it was because the dog had gained weight in 1 week and looked stressed out and didnt feel Chris really needed a service dog. Our son has very severe arthritis, and you dont judge a handicap person by looks, and thats what they have done. They have all the medical proof about Chris and he should of never went threw the training and got the dog if they were going to do this. Our son is so upset, he said he just want Owen back for Christmas. These people lie and do horrible things and shouldnt be allowed to do this to anyone.

Does This Place Get Federal or State Funding?

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, December 07, 2004

You need to find out if this particular place receives any Federal or State funding and report them. If you have anything in writing, include your son's medical information, and send copies with your report. Request an investigation into just who is getting service dogs. Contact this place again if they did not give you information in writing as to why they were removing the dog. If the dog was gaining weight, that could have easily been handled with a little common sense. I would question why they wouldn't have given you a chance to correct the problem. Ask the state if there is any program where your son could get his own companion animal and have him trained. If so, find out if your son qualifies. It's close to the holidays. Contact the media and let them know how your son has been treated.
