Hertz Car Rental WORST car rental experience, will never use again. Monroeville, Pennsylvania
We had to have this car service after a lady smashed into the passenger side of my car. Erie Insurance had this car service provide our rental. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, it isn't even over yet. After dealing with 2 hours of nonsense and missing 2 hours of work for the lady to finally get to me to get this stupid rental car this morning (in which I had an appointment for at 8 am), I finally get the car home and have my mother look at it. Not a bad car, minus the gash it had in the back end. We walk around to the back only to realize it has no license plate. I call the lady and she says "Oh, sometimes that happens. Sometimes they forget to do that. The lady then proceeds to tell me to drive it back to the dealership office and get another one. So realizing this is illegal, I call their roadside line, and THEY tell me they want me to miss another few hours of work and ride in a tow truck an hour away from me at an airport for a replacement, OR they'll tow it and I have to call a cab to take me to where I rented it from, also causing me to miss quite a few hours of work. While looking through the papers arguing with this lady, I realize they only wrote the car up for 3 days of rental when the insurance company paid for 5. The lady was so rude to top it all off and this is the FIRST day of my rental with them. I can't imagine how tomorrow will be when I have to miss work because THEY screwed up so I can get another car. NEVER DEAL WITH HERTZ.
