HJ Russell - Stratford Inn - Castleberry Inn ripoff Kept $298 because I didn't want to stay at their hotel. Atlanta Georgia
Stratford Inn will keep any money you prepay for a room with. I paid for 2 weeks and checked out after 1 night. The clerk never told me about the "no refund" policy until after I was ready to check out.She just insisted on me signing the check in form like they do at other hotels. This made me feel like there would be nothing out of the ordinary to worry about.I was sadly mistaken.
The manager (who answers to someone else on these issues) tried to resolve it by having someone to pay me for the credit but no one ever came through. In all they kept pay for 13 nights or $298 and never made any genuine effort to resolve it.
I advise anyone who will be staying in Atlanta to stay somewhere where the policies and pratices of the Owners are morally decent. Don't expect that from HJ Russell and Company. They own another place called Castleberry Inn.
