Mathew, To answer your concern, Hotels are for spending the night and for sleeping primarily. Loud functions in function rooms are secondary. My statement was regarding why they put me in THAT room while something like that is going on, when there were other places to put me. Finally, THE SUBJECT of my story was my injury. Not the noise.

The thing I find funny about this report is even though all this stuff happend, they are still self centered. Example, they said why would they rent a meeting room where someone was sleeping like they should plan business around you. A normal person would ask why they put a person sleeping near a meeting room not vise versa

The Holiday Inn Express in Santa Maria is actually owned by the Santa Maria Hotel Corporation and is managed by the Stafford Hotel Corporation. They are franchisees of Holiday Inn.

Wow! Thanks For Letting Us Know, ...This is all very disturbing. I was about to book a week's stay at this hotel. I'm traveling back to the US and was going to book reservations here with some out of town business people until my wife alerted me to this message. I think I'll take my business elswhere as I have important guests who will be traveling with me from Japan and they always judge any big business decisions based on the courtesy they received from the host. Thanks again for the information.
