I am writing letter simply to start off by saying to BEWARE of Home Advisor. I am going to keep this short and sweet until someone from the upper management calls me back and lets me know of a resolution, but in the meantime I find it necessary to let home owners and contractors to BEWARE of this service. i am a perfect example of how my company was not properly reviewed/screened by this adversting company. Yes, I am throwing myself under the bus. I have no prior legal action against me but TWO bad reviews with a prior company I was registered with throught SERVICE MAGIC at the time. The customer that put in the complaint actually ruined my name and business but took no legal action and since it was an insurance claim, there are no claims through that either. BUT service magic being the wonderful litiagators that they are (MOLLY RUSSELL) decided to term by business and pay this customer an unnecessary $500.00! When i tell you these people were not deserving of it I do not lie. I even wanted to hire a lawyer to decide and SERVICE MAGIC wanted nothing to do with it. They did not even have all the facts together, just that we fought for our rights and SERVICE MAGIC did not like that.

So long story short, I start a new company (same as SERVICE MAGIC, aka HOME ADVISOR) because of the above consumer. They destroyed our name because thats all they could do. We have moved forward as most people do. We decided to start back up with SERVICE MAGIC in April 2011 until almost April 2013. In this time frame my new company has spent in excess of $7000.00 in adverstising. In my mind, with both companies I would say we are looking at close to $20,000.00 A Good customer i would think? 

We decided to part ways early in 2013 because of too many billing issues and our leads that were supposed to be exclusive were going to other contractors. 

Well this past week, after a year, I was going to reactivate MY company, until I was told by MOLLY RUSSELL (mind you she was the "litigator" in my past experience) that we could not be REACTIVATED because of the past two bad reviews from the OLD company in 2008. The new company was also REGISTERED under my name, I am the owner, you can check any state record, my foremans name was attached and that is the only name they checked out! I guess I should be thankful they even checked him out, but seriously the full background they say they do was not performed! So $20,000 later and two bad reviews from and OLD company and having started a new company contributing thousands to HOME ADVISOR with NO bad reviews and this is how I get treated? 

At the present time I await a phone call from Tyler Young. Apparently he is the only one above Molly Russell, in Consumer Relations who blatenly does not care to deal with me and I was told by mark at Home Advisor she is the one who made the decision. She has no respect for me and the message she left me tells me so. I also asked for me two years of lead information which Molly said I may not get because the account was not in my name? BUT the money came from my bank account and the company is registered in my name. I can not wait to hear what the outcome is although from the tone of Molly Russell it is not going to be good. Molly just wanted to hear nothing about nothing because of my prior experience with her. Eveyone changes and unbenounced to her that experience reuined by life way beyond her approving a $500 pay out. I also had to endure trying to keep a small business alive during the loss of my home and all this other stuff going on. If they would have did an OFFICIAL, legal investigation they would see that NOTHING came out it. They based their evidence on someone that was trying to commit insurance fraud. Molly is someone will terrible customer experience. She should not be leading any customer resolution team what so ever! 

The only advice I can offer out of this after my experience is do your own investiagation. Contractors, if you get a lead or two out of this great, but just always know you are never exclusive!
