I don't mind getting my butt pinched (given the right circumstances)but this is ridiculous. This complaint isn't about the money but the principal.... We ordered a new toilet seat (about $30) in Sept 2006 because we had splashed bleach on the old one (Wild Rose colored). Not to sound indelicate, but as I sat on the commode one fine day I felt a slight "snap" and a sharp pain in my left my buttock.
The "Church" branded toilet seat had fractured and taken a small bite out of my left gluteus maximus. OK..it annoyed me but I didn't call a lawyer over it. Instead I contacted Homecenter.com to ask if they would replace the seat. Here is their response: *****

Since the item has been installed, I need you to contact Church in regards to your toliet seat as they would have a warranty on their products. Homecenter.com does not have warranties as we are just a distributor not the manufacturer.

I called "Church" and spoke with "Brian" He basically said there was nothing he could do since we bought the seat from HomeCenter.com. I DO NOT LIKE **PING PONG** so I replied:

Thanks for your time. I was a bit disappointed that this matter could not be settled
quickly but I'm willing to follow whatever procedure necessary to do so. As I outlined on the phone previously, please state what procedure I need to follow in order to follow up on my claim to have the defective toilet seat replaced. I will
share this info with Ed, at Homecenter.com, the original seller.
Kindly state what entity, in your opinion, is ultimately responsible for replacing it. I would expect that both Church and Home Center would want to protect your respective reputations in this matter. The remedy we are seeking is simply a replacement seat. Regards, Bill
