Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received an email that said "I was browsing thru a few resume banks and a few others and I came across your resume." It claimed my resume matched their Home Mail Processing Work At Home position. It claimed there were legitimate companies out there that would pay you up to $10 to stuff envelopes. Like a fool, I sent my $39.95 via the Internet and got the information via email the next day. It was 32 pages of companies... a few of which I looked up on this site.

Beware of: Global Homeworkers Association--the most complaints! Also, LDI Publishing, Research Publications. That's only three out of the hundreds of companies this 32-page list provides, but I will update this list as necessary. I am sick of these work-at-home scams! I am also tired of people who talk about other scams and insist that they're the real thing. I'm not looking to get rich quick, I just want to supplement my income. Has anyone else fallen for anything like this? I've also been taken by the survey list and work at home guide--all three are the same thing. You pay money for a list of what they claim are legitimate companies, but I haven't made any money from any of them.

Never Pay to Work

#2Consumer Comment

I'm sorry for your monetary loss but it just underscores what I always tell people. NEVER PAY TO WORK! Any legitimate business will hire you and without a fee provide all the materials necessary free of charge. If you're asked for any kind of a fee at all, RUN! Also, there are very low-cost machines that fold letters and brochures and stuff envelopes at a cost of less than $0.01 per envelope. Why would a company pay a human to do it at a much slower pace and for a higher rate? Answer: They won't.
