Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
They have bad customer service, one tells you one thing, another employee tells you something else.

They have started foreclosing on our house, they refused payments, and EVERYTHING is against their policy, even though their policy is not in writing.

When I was out of work, they would not accept what they call PARTIAL payments. All I wanted to do is pay my mortgage, they have also returned checks on me. One was for 2,046.00 to try and get caught up. This was a BANK check, and they refused it!!!!!

If there is anybody out there that has been through this PLEASE Help me, or guide me. Their foreclosing date is June. 17, 2003.

They did this REAL fast too!

Re: HSL deceived the Veterans Administration

Please see letter I sent to my attorney who is intimidated by HSL and their legal team ========================== VIRGINIA FAIR HOUSING LAW LEGISLATIVE INFORMATION SYSTEM Mr. Robert Roussos, Esq., I did a little research after reading your legal jargon packed email. HSL actions were intentional and said actions were repeated for months. The same mistake repeated over and over is not a mistake, especially after HSL recieved numerous communications regarding the problem. We did not move voluntarily we were forced out by deception. Homeside Lending falsified documents and then submitted to the Veteran Administraton. The VA in turned made preparations to auction our home at HSL request. My wife has not gained employment yet. If it were not for HSL mistake she would not have to look for employment. And if your viewpoint on discrimination is true then is a change of venue neccessary? We not only get no justice by being in SC where the Confederate flag is proudly displayed, MLK Fedreal Holiday is not observed, but by your own statement if we decide to litigate this case with a jury of our peers in VA we should not expect any better treatment. 8.01-581.21. Definitions. As used in this chapter: "Mediation" means a process in which a mediator facilitates communication between the parties and, without deciding the issues or imposing a solution on the parties, enables them to understand and to reach a mutually agreeable resolution to their dispute. "Mediation program" means a program through which mediators or mediation is made available and includes the director, agents and employees of the program. "Mediator" means an impartial third party selected by agreement of the parties to a controversy to assist them in mediation. (1988, cc. 623, 857; 2002, c. 718.) All we seek is a monetary compensation equal to our pain and suffering, financial burden and Life altering inconveniences suffered by myself, my wife and two young children - 12 and 10 years old - for over one year to date while waiting for HSL to settle. Our request is for a reasonable settlement. I have worked all my life in careers where I have protected the rights of all that I was repsonsible for under the law. I am not rich nor was I born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I worked hard to support my family and provide them with a decent home in a decent neighborhood. What about equal justice under law? This home is not a mansion worth millions of dollars to HSL. HSL has retained a legal team paying fees that exceed the cost of my 140K home. HSL made a mistake. It cost me and my family dearly. Is it too much to ask these Millionaire CEO's in Corporate America to just do the right thing! Have a good conscience. Avoid the Head Line News corporate corruption scandles so that we as a Nation can recover from this sagging, terrorist threatened econonmy. Whether in the US Airforce or as a current active duty Police Officer when I made mistakes that had repercussion to those that I took an oath to protect, I was held to account for my actions. That to me - is the American way. Not HSL Inc's stonewalling, hiding behind legal technicalities, being implacable and disconnected from the realities of everyday people's daily struggles. And for what - to destroy an American family just to take a house worth 140K? We may not have Millions of other peoples money to launch defenses such as HSL does to its customers, but we do have humility and integrity. We would like to come to an agreement to settle this case with HSL aka Washington Mutual Bank. Please contact Mr. Roussos (757) 622-3523 or email us directly so that we can hammer out a mutual agreement and move on with our lives...hopefully in Virginia. I too have been through this with Homeside Lending. I will at a later date post my own complaint as it is still on going. You need to contact Homeside/Washington Mutual and request a "Forebearance". A forebearance is a seperate contract from your mortgage that will allow you to catch up. Hopefully you still have your payments that they wouldn't accept. In my case I was six months behind when they started the foreclosure process. That was in Jun 02. Once I requested the forebearance all foreclosure proceeding stopped and I had to wait for a response. My agreement was as follows. On Aug 03 I had to pay 2 housenotes (July and August)and the attorney's fee. There was no payment for Sept and then on Oct 1 I began paying 2 notes per month for 5 months. It was rough but I saved my home. Keep in mind this just about ruins your credit but it's not as bad as a foreclosure and you do get to keep your home. This is about your only option as no one absolutely no one will touch you as far as trying to get an equity loan or refinance. Also during the entire forebearance the foreclosure remains on your credit report, but it is removed at the end and then reflects the completion of the forebearence. You can do this yourself. Please don't get suckered, as I did, into paying someone to do this for you. After spending $900.00 and producing just as much documentation as I did to originally purchase the house, I found out I could have done the whole thing myself for basically free. Good Luck!
