Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It takes a special breed of person to string working people along and get them to agree to work for bargain basement prices only to screw them months later by offering them only a percentage of whats owed. But Home Star has seemed to put together a great team at doing just that.

It starts in the beginning with a project manager who gets a commission based on how low they can get you to do the work, then ends months later with someone else seemingly getting a commission off how much less they can get you to settle for. If you've worked for them and they owe your company you have recieved or will recieved the call that " we are prepared to pay you X amount of dollars now to settle this." " so & so owes us $ _________ amount of dollars" " would you be willing to take ____________ $" " we can get you $_________ now but if you don't take this I don't know when you will be paid" This all comes after months  of getting dragged over the coals and worrying, your unpaid help leaving, your credit and word ruined, put on COD at supply houses, nasty grams from banks, etc...

Even though we signed the contract, did the work, took all the time stamped photos on time they are trying to hit back with some late charges due to them not processing the work and closing jobs in a timely manner, usually weeks later. Then the payment timer starts only after they do their part. Seems they are too busy with inner office games, taco tuesdays, bagel fridays, donuts in the break room while we are out here trying to make ends meet.

Didn't see any HomeStar complaints when we started last year but there are more and more now. If I only knew now what I didn't know then we wouldn't have started with them. Now you know. Don't say you weren't warned. If you work for Homestar the next foreclosed house you work on may be your own. ( or mine!)
