Hometown Candy Changing their Ripoff scheme! Ewing New Jersey
Found the Hometown Candy website and tried to order using credit card. Had a problem with Credit card info going through. I received an email a day or 2 later stating that their server was experiencing difficulty with the credit card info. They apologized and had a custom order with email stating the price of the order was discounted by 5% for the inconvenience and to send check or money order and the order would be processed. The check was to be made out to HVRA Enterprises, LLC. My check was cashed.
In the meantime I tried to call them and email for status on the order. No returned calls or emails were made to me and no candy! I called my bank and there is no way to get my money back on a check. Do Not send any money to these people! This is a scam!
I should have seen the red flags!
