I purchased a new Honda Accord from this dealership. In Feb. 2007 I paid to have a wiring harness replaced. This repair was botched and the harness had a bent pin which was not seated properly. The problem was not apparent at the time, causing an intermittent condition that made the vehicle operate inefficiently and unsafely particularly during inclement weather conditions.

I moved from Colorado to South Dakota at this time and could not return the car to the dealer when the problems appeared.

After several attempts to locate the problem, I took the car to Verne Eide Honda of Sioux Falls South Dakota in November. The technician/advisor there, Curtis Kredit looked at the diagnostics for the vehicle and informed me that they could not locate the problem and that they needed to know what wiring components had been replaced. They then called Honda of Greeley and pulled the harness they had replaced, discovering the improper installation.

They straightened the pin and reseated the harness and the issue was resolved. The bill for this repair to resolve the botched installation was $302.07

The portion of the bill from Honda of Greeley for the botched harness installation was $1540.43

I immediately called Honda of Greeley to complain about this. I spoke to Ron Jochiem the service manager. He told me he did not believe this sort of problem could occur, but he would call Curtis Kredit at Verne Eide Honda and get back to me. He seemed very interested in the fact that I no longer lived in Greeley. He never returned my call.

I reported the issue the BBB and got no help from them. Marcy Sharf with the BBB resolved the case with no offer of any compensation from Honda of Greeley. When I complained to the BBB board, they reopened the case and then resolved it when Honda of Greeley offered a payment of $150 "in the interests of customer satisfaction". At no time did they apologize or admit to any ownership of the problem. Keep in mind that Curtis Kredit is Honda certified and willing to testify that the car repair by Honda of Greeley was improperly done.
