Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a puppy from Hoover Acres Puppies and Supplies a week ago.  I saved for a long time to aquire her and was told she was in perfect health.  On the paperwork I received form this breeder, were stickers and dates of the medicines for worms and her first set of shots.  It all seemed legit.  Then I went to my vet for her checkup.  It was brought to my attention, by my vet, who I trust with my animals lives, that her meds and shots were given to her WAY to early and that at the time of said shots and worming meds, she was still protected by her mothers immunity.  So, now I have to start all over with a whole new set of shots and she was FULL of worms.  She has not been right since we got her.  lethargic and off her food.  I wish I could have gotten her into my vet earlier but I picked her up on Friday last and called them first thing Monday.  It was hard to watch her this week and then she started throwing up last night.  She has had the "runs" since we picked her up.  On top of that mess, I find out that the food I purchased from this breeder, at a premium price, is for horses.  Holy crap...she's a puppy.  Maybe she isn't aware that the product she sells is not meant for puppies...or at least not MY PUPPY.  I give my animals nothing but the best and I took her at her word that this stuff was THE BEST.  I was forced to take it to the shelter, where they will accept any food they can get.  I am saddened that others will have this same problem with a puppy they get form this breeder.  I wish I had been able to see the parents of this puppy also.  (you cannot)  I wish I had had more money so I could have purchased my puppy at a better place.  I will spend the money and get her healthy because that's what you do as a pet/child owner.  She is a part of my heart now and nothing is good enough for her and my other fur babies..I wish you all luck but DO YOUR HOMEWORK first.

To whom that all reads this. . I m really sick n tired of people not having the brains n intelligence that God gave you ..you need to use it! I bought a puppy through hoover acres by Lori Hoover back in 2014 she is a pure bred sheltie. I took her to my vet n the paperwork that came with her,he said she is in prefect health. Lori did send Puppy food n it said Puppy on the bag. So the people who complains on here about there puppies, needs to keep in mind of there pea size Brain is to remember if you have a issue with your pup get copies of what your vet said n call and/or email your breeder so you can resolve the issue, instead of being overly dramatic on these sites. I have not even had one issue with Lori n have remained in contact with her on a monthly basis, and its something that you n all the dishonest lying insolent complainers on here should be doing.

The timing on the shots and wormings that we do is just a difference of opinion, my vet agrees that what we are doing is fine and not harmful in any way to the puppies.  You regiving the vaccinations could potentially do more harm then good.  You should not over vaccinate a young pup with such a immiture immunes system.   We de-worm the pups at 2,3 weeks with Pyrental and at 4 weeks for 3 days straight with a banana flavored Fenbendazole and again at 6 weeks for 5 days straight.  I am sure your pup was not FULL of worms.  They are puppies and you have to continue where we left off.

The food that the pups were on before pick up and the bag that you purchased was not for horses.  Clearly it is a puppy food and the bag clearly states that it is.  I am actually a dealer of the Loyall food line and would not feed horse food to a puppy or a dog.  Nutrena has a line of horse food and also a line of dog food.  They are manufactured in a different plant and even a different state for that matter so please DO your homework before fabricating stories.  Switching your pup to another food so fast is more than likely what gave her the loose stool and you having other animals should have been fully knowlegeable not to do that.

You never contacted me to let me know that you had any issues with your pup and never sent a vet report or anything stating that there was any kind of problem or concern with your pup.  Instead you use this kind of forum to try and slander someone when the root causes of the issues you discribed were cause by your own failure to not do your own homework on how to properly care for a new puppy and follow up with me if you were having any issues.
