Helene Macdonald is a SCAM artist! We rented a beautiful home from Helene and in good faith, paid one year in advance rent plus the security deposit.
At no fault to anyone, a water spout hit the back of the home destroying everything. The owner could not afford to repair the home, so they offered us a refund of our unused rent since we paid in advance.
We moved out, then received the refund within 10 days. However, it was $1,312.50 short. When asked, Helene advised that it was her commission for the balance of five months. I advised her that it was NOT my responsibility to pay her commission.
She made a comment, stating that people with money are nothing but a hassle and that we should let loose of some of our money. At that point I advised her that I was going the Attorney Generals office and file a civil suit. She stated that she was going to file bankruptcy anyway and that she needed money to support herself. BE CAREFUL if you choose to do business with this woman. I have reason to believe that her business is struggling.

Helene Macdonald contacted me 30 minutes after this posting offering to settle with payment in full. I will update when the check clears.
