Contracted on March 8, 2013 with Hot Annuity Solutions.  They promised to provide pre-set appointments for prospects with savings that are interested in moving funds into annuities.  They promised they had already sent out postcards and had received back over 125 responses from people in my area that want someone to contact them.  They got my name from LinkedIn.com and Bob Stuart approached me there.  I was to received the postcards, and in addition, I would get a minimum of 4 (four) appointments a week.  The appointments were to be one each day, Tuesday through Friday, until my alloted leads were exhausted.

I paid $1,500 upfront with an overnight check. In return, I would receive 25 appointments plus one additional appointment as a bonus for overnighting the check.   Their contract stated they have 125 leads in the area I do business, and future reorders would be sold to me exclusively, (If I chose to reorder), at a rate of $60.00 each.

In the first week of getting appointments voiced concern immediately by phone and email to the Mark Soloman (sp?)/Owner, and Bob Stuart/Business Partner.  I was consistently being told by the people they were supposedly setting appointments with that they did not commit to an appointment and were misled as to my purpose.  (My purpose, according to most, was that I had some retirement information and would drop it off at the door).  The majority of the people had no savings and ages ranged from late 70's to mid-nineties.  I was not able to interview one person - and two were outraged that I showed up without an appointment.

Soloman was rude to me when I complained, stating that the people didn't like me and I didn't know how to "hustle to get in the door."  I explained more than one time that I have other means of setting appointments and I been very successful with other companies that competently represent my services and properly qualify the prospects with regards to their ability to make their own decisions, indeed have funds that can be transferred or rolled, and understand in my first meeting I will be asking an extensive list of questions to establish suitability.  None of this happened as promised by Hot Annuity Solutions/Annuity Solutions.

In conclusion:

(1) There were no leads based on return interest in a consultation as clearly stated in the contract.  (2) They did not qualify the appointments as promised, they simply cold-called people in my area, made vague and ambiguous to them and mentioned someone would be stopping by to drop something off.  (3) They never set more than two appointments in any one week.

(4) Mark Soloman/Owner never returned my money as he promised he promised he would do.

(5) Bob Stuart made fraudulent claims as to the quality and quantity of appointments that would be provided, and in my first complant call to Mark Soloman he stated that Bob Stuart should not have made these promises.
