I hired Martin and Jim of Hot Mix Asphalt Paving in Fort Worth, TX to install 10,000 sq. ft. of asphalt at my home. The finsihed product looked great and was guaranteed for 1 year. The asphalt had been in place for about three weeks when I started noticing holes and cracks forming in the asphalt. I reached out to Jim and Martin and requested they take a look at the asphalt and make the appropriate repairs. They explained they would do everything they could to make it right. Well...it's been about a month since my initial contact with them and they have provided numerous excuses and are no longer answering their phone or returning calls. Now that the asphalt has been in place for about 2 months, I now have ruts in my driveway along with the holes and cracks. I have left one last voicemail and will be retaining an attorney at the end of the week if they have not agreed to resolve their poor craftsmanship immediately.

Driveway Falling Apart Again

Well here we are again. Same driveway/asphalt issues and no response from the contractor; Hot Mix Asphalt of Fort Worth (6387 B Camp Bowie Boulevard, Fort Worth) (682.232.5610 or 866-558-1966).
I have been trying to reach the contractor since late July to express my concerns about the poor quality of the asphalt work that was completed. In doing some research, it appears the contractor (Jim and Martin) did a very poor quality job in not ensuring their was a sufficient base to support the asphalt.
Buyer beware of using this contractor. I would be better off having the asphalt removed and going back to the crushed concrete driveway I had before.
It's sad there are people out there that won't stick to the word, especially when they state the driveway "should last 15-20 years".
I am done with this contractor. An attorney has been retained and lawsuit should be filed in a few weeks. Hate to do it but enough is enough.

I would like to thank Jim and Hot Mix Asphalt for repairing my driveway! I should have given Jim a little more time in getting out here to fix the driveway as it has come to my attention that Jim has had some personal issues over the past month that should have and did take priority over my driveway problems. I can say with confidence that Hot Mix Asphalt is a reputable company that will honor their one year warranty on their product/service. Thanks again Jim!

Unfortunately for you, or the business, Ripoff Reports will NEVER remove a report due to poster's remorse.
Lesson to be learned for the business. Respond to complaints in a timely manner without being dragged kicking and screaming to do so in a forum like this.

Meeting with Contractor

I met with the contractor today and he has explained the slow response to my asphalt issues. I understand his explanations and have agreed to remove this report. The contractor will be repairing my driveway later this week. In the meantime, I will be working with this website to remove my complaint.
