I should have known the second I made my reservation. I thought I got a good deal on my rental car. I went to the sight that my reservation was from, and hotwire charge me $30 more than the site was charging. What service do they offer?

That is not my complaint. I had mde my reservation and agreed to the terms. I was to pick up a rental car on Jan 4th 2009 and return it on Jan 10th 2009. We were taking my two and four year old girls to disney. On New Years Day, my 2 year old was hospitalized and we have been in the hospital ever since. I called to rearrange, NOT CANCEL, my car rental dates. As we are still in the hospital now, I was told that they would not refund my money.

I explained I did not need a refund, I would just have to change the dates. I could provide any documentation needed. All I got was I am sorry, we can't do anything. After speaking to several people, I got no where. I begged and pleaded that i would pay a little more once I knew the dates we can rearrange my vacation for, but they were unwilling to budge.

I find it hard to believe that a company this large can stay in business with the policy they have with this. I did not want to cancel, simply change the dates. I am now out over $300. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I have contacted the car company and they are being very cooperative, but I still need to rent a car in a couple weeks when we get to Disney.

I have used many other travel websites, but HOTWIRE is just beyond belief. From overcharging people, to not helping change a reservation when you have your 2 year old baby girl in the ICU unit. I have never used any sites to complain abouta company in my life, but again, HOTWIRE, should be ashamed.

After sending in documentation, Hotwire did refund me in full and very promptly. I will use them again in the future, as at first they made it hard, but they also fix the situation. Thank you HOTWIRE for doing the right thing.
