ORCHARDHOUSEHOLD BANK - ORCHARD Household Credit Card Ripped me off twice in a year and made threats to my Fiance' Rip-off Salinas California
Around a year ago I recieved a credit card in the mail from Household Visa. It came with a yearly service fee and a high interest rate. So I NEVER ACTIVATED THE CARD. I threw it in my credit card info box. I not only did not activate the card but I never applied for a household visa in the first place. So I got an envelope in the mail from Household visa and i ripped it up and threw it away, due to the fact that I did not and never have had a Household visa card, I thought it was a another try to get me into there visa card that I didnt want. So a couple of months went by and my Fiance' started to get calls at home from household visa, in one such call they said " you need to pay your bills, Its deadbeats like you who hurt credit for the rest of us" So I called Pissed off, I found they Charged me the annual fee for the card I didnt accept then they charged me late fees and reported to the credit agency 30 days late, 60 days late, etc.... I was able to get this matter resolved with them and it was removed from my credit report.
So, six months later I go to Best Buy to buy a new dryer I fill out the application with a freind of mine that works there and it comes back unable to issue credit. The Best Buy card is through Household Bank.... I felt like two cents in front of my peer. But thats only the begining......
Two weeks or less later I get a credit card in the mail from none other then Household Visa... NOT A BEST BUY card but a household visa. For a credit limit enough to buy my dryer !!!!!!
WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE !!!!!!!!!!!
This time no anual fee so I threw it in my "possible lawsuit file" because I was EXTREAMLY MAD..
Six months later I got a letter in the mail that states Household Visa Closed my Account due to
-Derogatory Public Record or Collections filed
&-TOO many accounts with balances
(NOTE: I have been turning my credit around in the past year to buy a house. I HAVE PROOF that on the day I got my cancelation letter for the account, I never signed up for and never activated, that my credit balances are CONCIDERABLY LESS then the day they sent me the card in the first place. Also the judgment they referenced has been on my credit for THREE YEARS it too was on my file the day they sent me the card in the first place...........)
So in Closing as of now they are trying to fix this so it does not show up on my credit as a CLOSED BY CREDITOR but they act as if there doing me favor !!!!! I should SUE THEM...... How can any company in the USA just issue card to people and cause SO MUCH pain and anguish????
I've spent needless hours on the internet trying to find a phone number they will answer and also hours sitting on hold waiting for answers from Orchard or Household bank .. Checking credit reports, filing reports such as these, etc. etc. and why? because a company is allowed to use citizens like this thats why...
SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE!!!!!!!

Basically HHCS does not allow fraudulent charges to go through on purpose.

Accts are watched for any potential fraudulent activity. You can't blame the credit card for MSN or AOL charging you, how does the credit card company know you cancelled. That's something you take up with the merchant themselves or you call and ask for the billing dispute department.

Hey.. I DIDNT KNOW HOUSEHOLD BANK ISSUED VISA CARDS?? HERES A LITTLE ADVISE FOR YOU!! BEFORE YOU FILE A REPORT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT CREDIT CARD LOGO BEFORE YOU FILE A COMPLAINT! IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID... AND SECOND.. HOUSEHOLD BANK IS A RIP OFF BANK.. THEY WILL ALLOW ANY TRANSACTION TO GO THROUGH EVEN IF ITS FRAUD or a mistake transaction (like aol and msn which even thoe u may cancel there services but you may still get charged on accident) and Household will slap an overlimit fee on your account and refuse to remove it!! if u dont have the funds in ur account.. THEY USTO BE A GOOD CREDIT CARD AT ONE TIME!! But for some reason they became crooked like US BANK and other well known Banks.. So if you Recieve any HouseBank Offers! Rip them up and trash them.. if your thinking about Banking at US Bank LOOK ELSE WHERE.. because if you need Gas and your at the pump and try to pay with ur Visa LOGO Debit card US Bank Will Automaticly charge ur between 10 to 20 dollars even if you get 4.00 in gas And if you only have 8.00 in your account and us bank pre-authorizez 20 on ur account.. and you recieve a overlimit charge they will not remove it and blame the gas station which if you use any credit card it will only authorize a dollar.. so take my advise stay away from these 2 banks they are overlimit Happy!!!
