H&R BLOCK Peace of Mind Big Ripoff Uniontown Mall, Pennsylvania
Purchased Peace of mind, was the biggest ripoff ever, Got a audit from IRS, and this peace of mind that I paid extra for didn't do a thing for me . Took the Audit to H&R block , To Laurie Logue , Who filed my tax return . She filed a claim for this peace of mind. And said that would be all that was needed and not worry about giving the IRS any other documents, and they would stand by me to represent me. Not the case . I ended up with more Charges from the IRS And contacted her about this months later well waiting for this peace of mind to take effect , Months went by haven't heard a thing, contacted Laurie Logue this so called H&R employee who never did put a claim in. She along with H&R block Gave me the run around for 6 months. Filed a new claim with a different location for H&R block, They would not stand by me, and back this so called peace of mind contract up. I am now stuck paying every dime back to the IRS. And all the extra cost because of H&R lies ,rude people. I hope a lawyer would challenge them with a class action lawsuit. I will never use H&R block ever again. They didn't represent me at all. And did not stand by this so called peace of mind contract. Save yor money and go with a real Tax Accountant. a lot cheaper.

Peace of Mind covers H&R Blocks errors, not the errors of the customer!

First of all, I worked one tax season with H&R Block. I would have continued on with them, however I found a full time job, one that I am currently with and was not able to fit in hours with them during the tax season. Laurie Logue is my tax preparer and has been for the last few years. She is the one that talked to me about being a tax preparer because I knew so little about taxes and she thought it would help to attend the class. It helped a lot. She has been nothing but kind and professional during all 5 of my visits with her. I just had my taxes prepared by her last week and once again, she was nothing but helpful. Everyone in the office is helpful.
I want to say that after working there, I know for a fact that Laurie did not file a Peace of Mind claim for this person. The general employees are not permitted to. You must go to a manager to have a claim filed. The Peace of Mind agreement is there to protect you against errors that H&R Block themselves makes. If the client does not have all of their paperwork or files too early without having everything they need, it is NOT the error of H&R Block. If clients weren't in such a hurry to file and get money back, less errors would occur. I do not believe for a moment that H&R Block is responsible for this problem, I fully believe that is was the error of the client and her inability to understand taxes. Perhaps she should re-read her Peace of Mind agreement to fully understand what it is meant to help with and then re-read her statement she filed on this website.
This lady needs to grow up and take responsibility for her own actions and mistakes, instead of trying to cause a lot of problems for people that aren't responsible for them. Slander is not taken lightly by anyone.
