Sloppy, unorganized, and Harry ultimately abandoned the job before it was finished. We hired Harry and his team in March 2017 to re-plaster my pool, replace the heater, decking, coping and tile, and to add a new water feature. We also hired him to replace a couple of retaining walls with new railroad ties.

The job was significantly delayed, and there were always excuses why the job wasn't getting done on time. Days and weeks would go by without any work getting done. We had to do our own research on the types of plaster and decking to use because the information coming from Harry was either confusing or just wrong. The plaster was completed with a large stain, and initially Harry blamed us for causing it, then later admitted it was the fault of his plastering contractor. Classy. He also claimed we'd be able to use our existing pool cover, but when he finished the new decking he neglected to install anchors so now there is no way to tie the cover down.

Harry's team had to replace an electrical receptacle for the pool heater and filter, and ended up knocking out the power to the backyard lighting. After numerous lawsuit threats and unanswered calls and emails, his electrician returned and repaired some of the lights, but not all. Harry then actually tried to charge me for that work. The retaining walls were done with large gaps and hardware and electrical writing exposed. A full month has gone by with my emails and phone calls left unreturned. Plus, he never explained how to operate the filter and pump, leaving us to hire another pool contractor to explain it to us.

Unquestionably the worst experience I have ever had with any home contractor.

Dan Pepper rips off contractors

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

Sat, September 30, 2017

Unfortunity ,Dan has choosen to file a rip off report , while he is the person ripping off contractor, our company went over above our contracted work, every contracted payment we had to stop work until payment was made, electrician replaced 2 rusted timers added an additional switch for his pool light, could not add new recepticle which was explained at time ,was not enough power and would not meet codes, we replaced his pool deck while all the electrcal wires were laying 3 ft. from pool and on top of the ground , if wiring were to code we would not have had a problem, sent the electrican out to repair lights and repaired lights that were to code, told home owner this is very dangerous , someone could get really hurt. I guess Dan got upset when I told him I would have to report this to the twp codes to cover myself and electrican as Dan is an ex-lawyer. I guess it is at this point he decided to report us to ripoff report , Pool plaster issue ,after company completed plaster and pool was filled Dan and Wife inspected pool and loved it,after about a week or so I get a phone call theres a stain in pool, my guys reported it looked like it was from a bad pool brush that ws laying there after my inspection of it the cause was from someone pouring muratic  acid directly in one area in pool to lower ph, Now altough I would like to think it was not one of my employees as they have been with our company for 18 yrs and would know better, I can't say for sure homeowner error or employee, As the pool matures and the slag of the plaster wears the stain will be even color, it's just not pleasing to the eye at this point ,but no damage to plaster  ,Lets address pool cover we replaced pool deck that had a small waterfall build on top of concrete deck, had to be removed to replace pool coping and deck,we removed it and replaced it for him 10' x 4'ht natuarl stone waterfall with new plumbing for a cost of $500.00 ,I'm a ripoff the materials cost more then that not including labor. The pool cover may very well fit,at most a $300. on site alteration does'nt want to pay it another cost I'm supposed to asorb. At this point at no cost I installed natuaral stone on your spa spillover, custom steps on your pool deck with tiled risers at no cost,up graded your pool plaster from marble to quartz at no charge, purchased and installed red brick in your step landings to pool at no charge , but I'm a ripoff pay your final bill and as I said I will help to resolve some of your issues
