Just a note of warning for fellow car shoppers:

I scheduled a test drive of a specific vehice with one of their salesmen. I then drove over a half hour to get there, just to have the same salesman tell me "Oh, darn it, unfortunately that one was sold already." When I asked him why he didn't tell me that before I took an hour out of my workday to go there, he said he didn't have my number--this is after emailing back and forth several times thoughout the day.  The last correspondence was a half hour before I arrived. When I mentioned that, he started fumbling over words, saying "Oh well, there was a sudden price drop, someone jumped on it, etc."  None of this was true. The price on the vehicle hadn't changed, and it was obvious he was caught in a lie.

That's when, predictably he started trying to sell me on the rest of their inventory. I told him I had already looked through their inventory online, and told him that the few models I was interested in were out of my price range.  The salesman then says (in a voice audible for everyone in the showroom) "What, you only want to spend $8,000 on a car??"

I had more than enough at that point, and walked out.

So later that afternoon, I looked online again just to see if the vehicle was still listed.  Sure enough, it was, so I sent a new inquiry--this time with my girlfriend's address as the contact--asking if this particular car was still available.  And sure enough, she received an email shortly after with the great news: yes it's still very much available!

Not only is this practice extremely dishonest, it's incredibly inconsiderate and thoughtless to have such little respect for other people and their time. Then to try to embarrass someone by saying they ONLY want to spend $8000, is unacceptable.

I've never posted an online complaint in my life, but I really found this pretty reprehensible.  I would advise shoppers to think twice before giving this dealership any business.
