Ideliver, LLC Alex Mouton Signed a contract, cashed my deposit check, and didn't show for the work MI Roseville
I am the co-owner of the Edible Arrangements store in Grosse Pointe Woods. I was on Facebook looking at the swap site for Eastpointe/Roseville/St. Clair Shores the beginning of May 2018. I came upon a post from Alex Mouton, the owner of Ideliver, LLC, that thought would change my business for good! I had contacted him through Facebook to see if I could hire his company for Mother’s Day delivery help.
My business partners & I had a conference call with him the first week in May to iron out details & everything seemed legit & the help we were looking for. I met him the week before Mother’s Day, we signed a contract and I gave him a $250 deposit check which was cashed right away. The day the drivers were to show up to work, no one came. Alex’s phone was turned off & he was not answering any of my voicemails or texts. Later that day I received a message in messenger that his wife was in the hospital & he couldn’t send anyone because he wasn’t available & there would be no direct supervision of his staff, but he’d refund the deposit.
A week later I reached out to get my deposit back. He said he’d meet me to refund the money, he was a no show. I reached out again & he stated he was out of state for a family funeral, but would bring the refund by the store the following day. Again, no Alex, no money. This cat & mouse game has been going on for a month now. I only want what I’m owed back. I also don’t want anyone else to go through this frustration! We all work too hard for our money. I just wanted to hire a bit of help for the holiday, instead, Alex Mouton & Ideliver, took me for a ride. I posted my frustration on the swap site cautioning other members. I have received a few messages that state the same has happened to them. Can you please direct me on what steps I should take next & how to stop this guy from scamming anyone else?
