IDrive Utah - Kevin, Miles They are pirates - take what they can, give nothing back. Refuse to help me in any way in paying for the $4,000 in repairs it has required. Orem Utah
Kevin and Miles of IDrive Utah sold me a 1999 Toyota Tacoma for $7,400 which I have had to put an additional $4,000 into in repairs. They also sold me an extended warranty through a 3rd party for $1,500. The warranty company would not help to pay for the new cylinder head the truck needed, but they, and IDrive said they would refund the money I paid for the warranty. Kevin told me he faxed the cancelation notice to the warranty company, but when I called them a few hours later, they said they never received the fax. I contacted Kevin and he said he would fax it again. The next day I called the warranty company and again they said they had received no fax. I was referred to Miles, one of the owners of IDrive Utah, by Kevin, the salesman. When I called him to discuss the cancelation notice not being faxed, upon answering the phone he immediately began shouting and being verbally abusive. He accused me of "lighting up his phone," and harassing him, and he threatened to have me charged with harrassment. I have only ever called him twice in my life and texted him once. I perceived his behavior to be a scare tactic. Miles texted me a few minutes after hanging up on me and said he had sent the fax to the warranty company. It has been a few weeks now, and I called the warranty company a couple of days ago and they said they still have not received any cancelation notice or fax of any kind. All together I have spent more than $4,000 in repairs on this vehicle - cylinder head replacement, parking brake replacement, and catalytic converter replacement. It should also be noted that they sold me the vehicle and gave me a temporary registration certificate before an emissions test had been performed, which is illegal in some counties in Utah.
