It seems that a note mentioning that a charge may be made of $1 but this can be refunded upon request or deducted from charges against use of chargeable services does exist on the second page of registration. However, no mention was made in the full terms and conditions page that I checked very very carefully. As such I relaxed my guard and didn't pay much attention to this footnote on the registration page. I have asked IFriends to update there terms and conditions and also to warn users of debit cards where any transaction could cause an exchange rate loss. Regards, Robert Adshead
